Day two of the Grade Magic Games, Lucy thought to herself, I'm ready.
"Day two of the Grade Magic Games is a capture-the-flag game. Three people from each team will go on the field. It was supposed to be four." The three Fairy Tail members shot glances at each other and laughed apologetically. "One person has to stay behind and guard your two flags. Once you lose on flag, you loose one point and the guild who took the flag gets the point. When you loose both your flags you're out. Yes you can use magic."
After a moment of two of the other teams deciding, the teams were chosen.
"In Mermaid Heel we have, Milliana, Kagura, and Beth. In Lamia Scale we have Lyon, Jura and Chelia. In Sabertooth we have Sting, Rogue and Minerva. In Fairy Tail we have Erza, Gray and Lucy."
The teams went onto the stadium as told. Erza and Gray stationed themselves to steal flags, while Lucy stayed as defense.
Lucy waited for around fourth minutes, no one had tried to steal their flags yet. Lucy sighed, a bit bored. There was barley any camera on Lucy. The cameras stayed off to everyone else. Lucy found herself glancing at the screens every so often, finding it weird how she never saw Sting or Rogue in any of the cameras. Odd. Suddenly, there was a rustling in a pair of bushes next to her, Lucy jumped back in a defensive stance, in front of the flags to guard them.
"Oi Blonde!" Sting's head popped out of the bushes while Lucy stood firm, trying to hid the annoyance on her face with this dragon slayer.
"What?" Lucy found herself nervously glancing from side to side to see it Rogue was anywhere near her. "And where's your partner?"
"Defending the flags." Sting replied with a shrug. "Now that I answered you, can you answer my question."
Lucy relaxed herself and threw a glare a the holy dragon slayer. "If it's anything about Natsu then you might as well back off."
Sting sighed, "What happened to him!" He practically yelled in frustration. "Fairy Tail hasn't been destroying anything and every time I have a job near Magnolia you're never loud! I know it has to do with Natsu! Now tell me!"
Lucy frowned at how determined he was. A tear ran down her face as she remembered what she had some to Natsu. Ever since what happened, each week, she would go to Doranbolt and make him erase her memory of it. She didn't care what he saw in her mind. She just didn't want her friends to see her break down. Cry over the one she loves. But with Sting asking about him. It broke the mind spell. Lucy tried hard not to cry or break down but her guilt was too powerful.
"No." He shook his head with his voice breaking, "He can't be..."
Lucy knew what he was thinking about. That Natsu was dead. More tears ran down her face as she shook her head no at the dragon slayer.
"He's not dead." She replied softly, wiping the tears from her face and clenching her fist.
     "Then—"
"He's in a coma." Lucy said, turning away from him. And it's my fault.
Sting fell to his knees after hearing that. "How?" He mumbled.
It's my fault, Lucy kept thinking, I did it. It's my fault. Everyone from the guild knew that Lucy was hurt the most by his condition. To her it was like he had actually passed away. After she had seen Natsu in the coma, hocked to the equipment when she first came back to the guild, she had passed out. Master had called Porlyusica to find what had been wrong with Lucy. Only to find out that Lucy had gotten a stress disorder after seeing Natsu. The master had always made someone be near Lucy if she gets a panic attack. Not that anyone needed the Master asking them, they all would have done it in a heartbeat. But now, now she was having a panic attack and none of her guild mates were there. They thought she would be fine, they were wrong.
