Shinomiya POV
What kind of relationship does a student have with my mother? I wonder.
"Well, long story short, we met in a restaurant that I used to work in. She was a normal costumer that was interested in French cuisine. I thought it was just a normal lady, but I was wrong. She was a mother of well a chef. Or you. But that time, I didn't realize it. But I knew that, she was lonely. Alone, so I began to ask her questions of why she was alone. Then, she started telling me that she had a son, which is you!"
I nodded. Gesturing for her to continue.
"Well, after a while, my Dad allowed me to go on a small break. So I was indeed interested in her, so me and your mother was walking together to her house. She talked about you, a lot. She described you and how you were a great chef and to be continued talking. But she said that, she felt sad that you had left her but happy that you had left her."
"She was sad and happy that I had left her!?" I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
"Well, it really depends. However, sometimes you should visit her sometime. A great mother like her does has it's loneliness too. Also, Shinomiya-senpai, how did you feel about the match?" she grinned at me.
"Humph, I believed that I've should've won, however Monsieur Doujima, seems to have it's own plans. But, you do seem to have a good ability, might as well tell me what it is since we're here." I said avoiding the question. However, I was truly angry, I mean it was a fair win for me. But it didn't go my way. However, put that aside and I was wondering about her ability. She seem to know the result and the dishes we were making already.
"Shinomiya-senpai. Curiosity could kill. But shinomiya-senpai, you should care about yourself not me. I have my own goal. Which is to find my brother, and by that, cooking may be the only option to find him, and impress him. But you Shinomiya-senpai, you need a new goal, just like when you were taking your steps and cuts to earn the French Pluspol award." She said putting her index finger on my chest.
"Anyway, you should forget about the past, that will only slow you down. If you're brave enough to say goodbye to your mother, then so is the same with people in your restaurant. If you do that, then well, life might reward you with a new start." She says walking away and waving back at me with a smile on my face.
Then she was gone, however I was grateful of what she had said. After all, she is correct.
"Merci beaucoup, Mademoiselle." (Thanks a lot, miss.) <---------translation :)
Shiro POV
I walked back my room as I was greeted by my same old friends in the polar star dorm.
"Shiro!? Your back!" Yuki exclaimed as she hugged me.
"I'm back." I said while patting her head.
"Where were you, we were worried." Ryoko said while having a tear in her eye.
"We thought something happened to you, since Yukihira and Tadokaro came back already." Shun said calmly.
"Nope, nothing's wrong. I was just taking a stroll. But um, let's party for our win!" I exclaimed. Making everyone in the room cheer. However that only lasted for around 5 minutes. Guess they were tired already.
So I excused myself from the room to go to sleep. When I reached my room, Erina and Hisako was waiting for me there.
"What were you thinking!?" Erina shook me on the shoulder.
"I was thinking that I won't be fired and I didn't." I said calmly opening the door and letting both of them come in.
"But, Shiro, that was a really bad decision. You were quite lucky." Hisako said.
