"All the remaining capable and powerful campers will be equally divided into groups of five to scout the perimeter of the camp and further down to the city, where each will report the status of the monsters' approach within a maximum of four Moons and five Suns, am I understood?"
"Yes, Sir!"

Campers were gathered in the Big House around the Ping-Pong table, discussing plans to try and protect the camp borders. There were no crackers this time, no Pepsi cans, no whispers, no side jokes. This was a serious matter.

"These are the following divisions;" called out Chiron, with Mr. D by his side, for once aware of how vital this was for the survival of the next generation.

"Frank Zhang, Will Solace, Grover Underwood, Travis and Connor Stoll.

Annabeth Chase, Piper McLean, Clarries La Rue, Drew Tanaka, Jason Grace.

Nico Di Angelo, Katie Gardner, Y/N L/N, Reyna Ramirez Arellano, Percy Jackson.

"These groups were based off each and everyone's intellectual ability in the field and in battle strategy. Do not come complaining to me begging to change your group. You will start your journey in three days. Prepare yourselves, and if any of you have a problem with their teammates, be sure to have it over and done with before your mission starts. Dismissed."

On her way out, Y/N questioned whether this would be a good idea or not. She was sure that Chiron was aware of the differences between her and Nico Di Angelo, which was her main concern at this moment.

"Y/N!" There he was, calling out to her.
"Yes Nico?"
He sighed and smiled, "Finally back to your old self I see." Raising an eyebrow.
"Not completely, no." She said looking down, picturing how hard her brother must have fought to try and protect the family he had created from scratch.

At first, the battle with this unknown enemy began against a deadly Drakon, which was easy to handle, compared to the other monsters they had fought before. However, nobody knew what came this time with so much power to kill twenty-eight campers and vanish with the blink of an eye. This was a complete new level of evil they had never faced before. This wasn't just monsters alone. It couldn't be.

Leo Valdez

The name echoed in her mind, just a faint memory. What will she do without him now? He had played such a huge part of her life. He had helped her through all her troubles and fixed all her misconceptions about life. He had even created her favorite design of her mechanical leg.

Its inner parts were mostly iron and rubber, but the outside was a soft, smooth surface of lined Celestial Bronze and Silver, to help her kill a monster smoothly and swiftly if she kicked it. Her hand unconsciously went to rub her metal lap.

She remembered the time when she was just a kid, crying, lost in the woods outside the borders of the camp. He had come running and calling out to her, and escorted her to the Big House. He had given her a full tour of the camp...

And had welcomed her with open arms into his family.

"-/N! Y/N!"
"Huh?!" She was snapped back to reality, tears tracing salty shimmering tracks down her face.
"What's gotten into you?" Nico asked, handing her a pocket tissue.
She pushed it away and wiped her tears rapidly "I'm fine. I just need some time to clear my head." She walked away toward her father's cabin, a sudden wave of grief overwhelming her.

He secretly followed, close by her tail.
