Chapter 1- Love at first sight?

Riley's POV

I walk down the hallaway to get my books for first period i probably shoudl've gotten more sleep last night because if i didn't shake my head once in a while i swear would just fall on the floor right now and just fall asleep right there why does there need to be school on mondays?

I notice someone standing at the locker right next to mine she doesn't look familiar, i know most of the people at this school i've been here for almost four years this year would most likely be my last. I form my code and open my locker as i hear the person next to me curse. 'Oh shit!' I see her books hitting the floor one by one the last book lands on my foot. I bite my tongue for a minute trying not trying yell something at her. 

The girl looks totally shocked. 'Oh my god i'm so sorry! I didn't mean to...' She stutters. Her eyes good lord they are stunning, she's looking down at my foot. 'Are you okay?' She asks me. 'I'm fine it just stings a little.' I reply and i look up at her really looking at her face for the first time. Her hair is dark redish brown, wavy and her eyes stand out they are very light i must look like an idiot staring at her like this. 

Ruby's POV

He keeps staring at me which leaves me feeling a little uncomfortable i look to my left the other students are just busy walking through the hallaways not paying attention to what is happening around them. 'Um..your books are still on the ground.' He points at them. 'Yeah...' i reply a little shy. I sit down and start to pick up my books i see him doing the same thing. 'So, you don't look familiar.' He says i saw his hazel eyes looking at me. 'No, i'm new here.' My heart drops a little when he looks at me. 'Oh really? Where are you from?' He asked slightly tilting his head. 'From the local area i just moved to the other part of town.' I explain without giving the actual reason that i moved which is because it's much closer to the hospital and when my health would be at stake it wouldn't be an one hour drive. I grab the last book and stand up again. 

He hands some of the books he picked up to me. 'Here you go. What's you first class?' He asked. 'Geography and i have no clue where that is.' I reply hesitatly. 'Just folllow me i'm in geography too now.' And he smiled. 'I'm sorry i forgot to ask what's your name?' He asks as he runs his hand through his golden blond hair. 'It's Ruby.' I reply with a smile. 'That suits you.' that makes me laugh. 'It's the hair isn't it?' I asked. 'It has a little ruby red in there.' He replies and smiles at me. 'And your name is?' I ask. 'Riley.' He says with a short nod. 'And i think it's time to head of to class now.' 

Riley's POV

During geography mister Rogers kept going on about our group project we had to work on that we had to pick a partner to discuss a foreign country with that we would like to visit one day. I look at Ruby who was sitting next to me. 'Would you mind working with me?' i ask i have to admit she has a cute smile. She looks at me like she just came back to planet earth. 'I'm sorry what?' She asks a little confused. 'The group project? Would you mind working with me.' I asked again. 'Sure.' she replies with a faint smile. 

'We should start working on it as soon as we can.' i say. Mister Neil what is so important that you have to discuss it right now during my class with miss Ferras?' He asked firmly. 'The group project mister Rogers.' I reply. 'Good, but do it quietly you're disturbing my class.' 

'Can you come to my house Tuesday afternoon?' I whisper and she nods i have to admit there's something quite mysterious about her and i am willing to find out what's so intriging about this girl.
