At last, Mrs. Jackson had packed everything and a private jet was assigned to arrive by tomorrow early morning. She stood outside the kids' bedroom, debating about how to tell her kids the news, whilst following her husband's orders. Hesitantly knocking on their door, she turned the knob and peaked into the room to be greeted with a strong stench of strawberry perfume mixed with axe. To the right hand side, lay her daughter (Isabelle) on her purple bed, silently engrossed into a novel. To the left hand side, sat her son (Noah) on the green carpeted floor, holding an Xbox One controller, hollering at the TV as he shot down zombies and ran for his life.

Mrs. Jackson silently giggled as she lovingly gazed upon the opposite twins who somehow seem to get along perfectly, one of the reasons to why they shared a room.

Noah and Isabelle's heads whipped towards their mother once they heard the giggle, staring at her with wide eyes and mouths agape, their books and games long forgotten. Their mother and father had never come to their room to visit, let alone to give a birthday gift which was usually sent through one of the servants of the house because they were always busy with work. Quickly closing their mouths and slowly comprehending to why their mother was standing at the door step, Isabelle finally spoke.

"So... um... Hello mother. What... uh brings you here, in our... umm room?"

"Hello kids, I have something to tell you. Your father and I have decided to take a little... family vacation for a couple of months to Texas so we can start acting like a family. So I already packed all your things while you guys were at school and I just wanted you to pack anything else you need and to be prepared for tomorrow. Your father had called for a private jet and we're leaving first thing in the morning."

"WHAT?!"Screamed the twins simultaneously. Horror and shock completely evident on their young faces.

"Mom! We can't just get up and leave! What about school? What about our friends? What about home? What about... about... your and father's job? What about our normal life in general?" yelled Noah as he remained flabbergasted.

"Well kids, you will be home schooled for a while and you'll be back to your friends and home before you know it and as for our job we are having a little break to spend some more quality time with our beloved kids," explained mother.

"But...,"Isabelle began, but was immediately interrupted by her mother's stern reply.

"No buts. Now put everything away and get ready for bed so you can get some rest. You have a long day ahead of you."

"Yes mother," muttered the twins as they unwillingly stood up to follow their mother's order.

"Thank you, and good night kids," replied mother as she turned around and closed the door behind her, leaning her head against the door as she let out a sigh of relief. She hated the fact that she had to lie to her kids, but she knew it was for their own good.

Once Mrs. Jackson had left, the twins immediately looked at each other. Their eyes stormed with emotions as their facial expressions differed. Isabelle's eyes stormed with confusion as her facial expression remained shocked because her mother had never made an occurrence in her life because she was always too busy and all of a sudden she makes an appearance. On the other hand, Noah had a permanent scowl on his face as rage filled his blue orbs, turning them into a shade of midnight blue. He couldn't believe how naïve his parents were. At one point they don't even give a glimpse to the kids and the next their mother comes in with her head held high, ordering them around as if they didn't have a life of their own. He couldn't believe them! All Noah wanted to do was runaway with his younger sister and have a happy life together and nothing would change as their parents would be too busy to notice because work is more important than their kids.

Storming towards the toilets the two siblings changed and tucked themselves into bed, silently calming their nerves as they were nervous about what was going to happen the next day, but they knew for a fact that fate would decide...
