A/N: Pretty long because this holds some back story about some characters so you can judge for yourself. Misunderstood good guys or lunatics???

Zayn laid in bed staring at the ceiling. After finding Harry outside with those two bodies and noticing they were Scorpions, he couldn't sleep. Usually after murders he was the one to dispose of the bodies; it was his specialty cleaning up after the others till the point where cops felt like they were looking for a ghost. But not this time. This time he left the bodies in the dumpster on a corner. He wanted people to know about these two guys being dead. He wanted this on the news.

Zayn Malik was 20 years old and was basically born an orphan. He had no real memories of his parents because he was given up for adoption at the age of 2, after his parents were brutally murdered by a member of his own family. Zayn never got the whole story about what went down that night and honestly he didn't want to know. Life was crappy enough without having to hear that your parents were chopped to pieces and splattered around your crib while you slept.

No one ever seemed to want to adopt Zayn because of his odd personality. He was quiet, which parents seemed to not like, and he had this problem with drawing and doodling all the time. It got so  bad to the point where he would zone out and begin drawing on his foster parents' belongings and they did not like that. He lost count at the many beatings he got because of it. Not to mention the other foster children teasing him because he wasn't your normal "blonde hair, blue eyed boy". But he got through it. He always got through it.

It wasn't till he turned 12 when a man by the name of Thomas Styles took him in, and that's where he met Harry. Harry was a weird child and Zayn thought he would never think that about any person seeing as he grew up with a bunch of crazy kids in the orphanage. But Harry was different. He was a happy kid...a little too happy all the time, especially in their situation. You see Thomas Styles was a sadistic bastard but he was such a manipulative charmer that no one ever noticed it.  And thinking back on it now maybe that's where Harry got it from. It was frightening how his eyes would glaze over like his father's when he was pissed off.

Harry had an older sister by the name of Gina and she was seventeen when Zayn came to stay with them. While Harry was always Thomas' punching bag, Gina got it much worst. It wasn't till one night when Thomas attacked Harry for spilling his beer did Gina try to stop him and ended up nearly getting her head bashed in by Thomas' whipping cane. Zayn shuddered at the memory of that damn cane. He got many beatings before but boy did Thomas know how to punish a kid. 

Gina was rushed to the hospital where Thomas had lied and told the doctors she get hit by a car and that was the night everything changed. Zayn sensed it in himself, but saw it in Harry. They were just boys and Harry, being an 11 years old, wasn't thinking straight but they snapped. That was the night they both committed their first murder and the thing that scared them the most is they enjoyed it. It felt normal...freeing even.

Gina was released from the hospital days later and came back to a bloody home, the boys not even bothering to clean up their mess. She didn't scream or run to the cops like any other person would; she simply sat Harry and Zayn down and told them from now on she was going to take care of them. And she did. Gina turned eighteen in a week and got a couple of jobs. No one ever found out about the murder of Thomas because Gina covered it up for them by making it look like a suicide. Boy was she good at that.

It wasn't till Harry and Zayn started going back to school did they meet Louis Tomlinson. Now that guy had some real issues. If they thought they had it bad with Thomas then Louis was living in hell. His father was an ex soldier and was diagnosed with dementia an some bipolar disorder that Louis and his mother chose to ignore. Every night Louis' father was doing something crazy and talking nonsense, but Louis would listen and eat it up. People started believing that maybe craziness ran in the family.
