I had gotten a restraining order taken out on Dustin and now i was at the hospital with everyone else. Me and Zayn were fine again and Adrian apologized to Zayn so now they were getting along great. Eliza had become stable and we were all in the waiting room as she had to get her back x-rayed. The doctor came out and told us that her back was fine but she had to stay over night. He lead us to her room and left us alone.

"Eliza! I'm so sorry!" I said rushing over to her and hugging her. "it's ok, it's not your fault" she said smiling. "yes it is! If you hadn't tried to stop Dustin from coming near me you wouldn't be in here!" "Hayley! Really, it's fine" "ok, listen i'm gonna go get some food but I'll be back soon. Ok?" "alright then" she said.

I walked out of the room and over to the elevator, pushing the button for the ground floor when I got inside. 'Slipped away' by Avril Lavigne was playing so I started humming along to it. I got down to the ground floor and stepped out. "shit" I muttered. Paparazzi were outside the hospital and when they saw me they tried to break down the doors. I ignored them and ran towards the cafe.

"woah, sorry" I said when I ran into someone. "that's ok, Hayley?" they said. I looked up and noticed him straight away. "Jayden!" I said hugging him. "are you here with Eliza?" he asked. "yeah. Hold on, come in here" I said dragging him into a little cupboard. "soo why are we in here?" he asked. "paparazzi. I'm dating Zayn from one direction and all the boys are upstairs" "really?" "yeah" "he treats you good right?" "yeah yeah, a lot better than Dustin" "good. Listen, I'm so so sorry about Dustin! If I knew what he was doing I would have stopped him, please believe me when I say that" "it's ok, it's not your fault. Do you wanna come upstairs and see Eliza?" "yeah sure" "ok, when I say run, run ok?" "ok" I slowly opened the door and looked around.

"1, 2, 3, run!!" I yelled grabbing his hand and bolting to the stairs, paparazzi on our heels. "Hayley! Who's that?! Are you cheating on Zayn?!" one yelled. "no, I'm not! He's just a friend!" I yelled back. We got up to the room and security let us in but stopped the paps.

We walked in the room still holding hands without realizing. "Hayley, who's this?" Louis asked when he saw us, his eyes flicked down to our hands and back up to our faces. I realized my hand was still in Jayden's and pulled it out. "guys this is Jayden" I said. "Dustin's brother?!" Zayn said as him and Harry jumped at Jayden. Lil pulled Harry back and I stepped in front of Jayden and put my hands on Zayn's chest, holding him back.

"yes Dustin's brother. He's nothing like Dustin. He helped me whenever me and Dustin were fighting so I owe him a lot" I said. "you need to learn to control your little brother" Harry growled. Zayn grabbed me and pulled me into his chest, glaring at Jayden. "don't touch my girlfriend ever again" he spat. "woah, dude settle down" Jayden said raising his hands in defense and backing away. "you better stay away from her" he warned. "Zayn, he's done nothing wrong. I can talk to him if I want" I said looking at him. "but he could be like Dustin Hayley, I'm just trying to protect you" "I know you are, but he isn't like Dustin. Trust me" "if you say so" he said sitting down.

"hey Eliza, I'm so so sorry about Dustin. We have a lot of stuff going on at home but I know that's no excuse" Jayden said. "you don't have to apologize, that's his job" Eliza said. "he isn't going anywhere near you" Niall growled unexpectedly. "babe I just meant that Jayden isn't the one who needs to say sorry" "it's gonna take a lot more than sorry to make up for this" "I know" she said. "and I'm so sorry to you as well, I can't believe he hit you" Jayden said turning to Lil and then looking at the ground shaking his head. "it's fine Jayden, you did nothing wrong" she said.

"thankyou all for forgiving me, I have to go but I will swing by your house sometime Hayley, is that ok?" Jayden asked. "I'd rather you didn't" Zayn said. I looked at him and punched him lightly in the shoulder. "I spend most my time at the boys house but if you swing by and text me I'll come over and see you" I said. "alright, bye everyone" he said. "bye" we all replied.
