AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Sorry for the late update, but I hope this chapter will make it up to you! You may have noticed by now that this fan-fiction combines elements from the books and the series, so for those of you who haven't read the books here's a couple of stuff you must know:1. Mord-Sith only wear red leather during torture sessions; they wear brown for normal day-to-day activities and white when they have succeeded in breaking a 'pet'
2. Raina was part of Richard Rahl's personal Mord-Sith guard.
3. The Agiel does not only bruise; it can also blister, draw blood, break bones and strip skin off flesh.

Darken Rahl slapped Cara across her face with his Agiel, eliciting a grunt from her.
They had been tortured for hours. During that time, Akeela had felt pain like no other. Three more of her ribs had broken and she thought her right femur was fractured, but she couldn't be sure since she'd lost feeling in her legs an hour ago, when Raina had struck her lower spine.
She'd cried out for her parents, she'd cried out for Cara; heck she'd even cried out for the Seeker to save her, but no one came and Raina persisted relentlessly. She'd begged Raina to stop and tried appealing to Raina's humanity, even though she knew it was futile. Raina was bound to her master and her master had ordered her to torture a thirteen-year-old girl until she swore allegiance to him. Raina would not stop till she broke Akeela, and at the rate at which Raina was going, Akeela thought she did not have long to wait.
An hour into training, Akeela fell into a constant state of delirium. Sometimes, she was in the dungeon being tortured by Raina, other times she was back in the alley, pinned down by David and his goons.
Rarely, was she aware of her environment, of Cara being tortured right next to her, but whenever Akeela regained brief control over her senses, she marvelled at the Mord-Sith's resilience.
Raina had gone easy on Akeela on Rahl's orders- he was afraid to lose the only Seer he had ever captured, but Cara did not share Akeela's privileges.
Rahl tortured Cara like a demon, striking her so hard that the sound of Cara's bones breaking sometimes shook Akeela out of her delirium.
Yet the Mord-Sith remained calm, her blue eyes perpertually dry; Akeela sobbed everytime she heard the whirring of the Agiel whereas only the angry red bruises on Cara's body indicated that she was being tortured. But she will be broken, Akeela thought to herself. In time Darken Rahl will succeed.
"Whatever your plan is, it will fail," Cara declared coolly, after she had caught her breath. "Richard will find us, and he will humiliate you. Again."
"Ah poor Cara," Darken Rahl sighed, clenching the Agiel. "You actually believe the Seeker will stop his quest simply to save you."
Cara looked defiantly into Rahl's eyes.
"You're not that important," Rahl stated, raising the Agiel to strike again.
His blow hit Cara's forehead painfully snapping her head backwards.
"It's not true!" Akeela screamed, momentarily forgetting her own pain. "The Seeker is your friend. He-,"
"Silence!" Raina cut in, her Agiel slicing through the air.
"AAAAAAAAAH!" Akeela screamed and trembled when the Agiel struck her stomach.
"Did I give you leave to speak, my pet?"she seethed.
