Two siblings are born.
They are the closest they can be.
But they grow older, as is nature.
And the elder learns it isn't normal to care about your siblings based on things they've been presented with up until this point.
They destroy the bond.
The younger had always had it harder, but looked past that and found the happiness, because of the elder. They now have no reason to keep going.
The elder grows depressed, knowing the consequences of their actions yet also knowing it's too late to fix their mistakes.
The younger has had their mindset destroyed, and now has no way of knowing what is wrong and right.
They are distant.
They avoid each other.
They fight.
The elder closes them-self off. They hide things they would've once shared, they give up trying to fix things, as they've tried a million times and failed relentlessly.
The younger does the same, yet only doing it about things they see fit.
The elder is broken, yet has hope.
Yet because of them, the one they once held dear no longer has any chance of recovery.
'I wish I could've saved you.'
'I wish I could've done the right thing.'
"I wish I never met you!" The elder screams within the walls of their broken household. Secretly, they are thinking, 'Maybe then you'd have a chance.'
