This is one I wrote randomly for my musical friends..
Dizzy
He took my hand and held it.
Even though he was driving at sixty miles per hour in the dark, he laced his fingers through mine.
No one said anything.
The only sound was the hum of the car engine and music coming from the speakers.
I was staring through the window - watching the beautiful landscapes unfold. The majestic mountains and forest-topped hills owning either side of the long, straight road ahead. The music fitted perfectly with the moment and scenery and the car lights gave the outside views an eerily comforting glow.
I was curled up on the car seat with a blanket over my legs and he was driving. His thumb drawing small, dreamy swirls on the top of my hand.
It was magical, all of it.
The way I looked at him to find he was already staring at me in a way that was indescribable.
Those eyes; they were deep and intense yet soft and loving.
When our eyes locked, his lips turned upwards into a smile.
A smile that spoke unsaid words.
And I could understand, he could understand; just looking at each other was a whole conversation with no words.
I blushed, instantly shy at the way he looked at me as if I was art.
Exquisite art.
But only before returning his stare back and smiling with a raised eyebrow.
In the corner of my eye, I could see our next turning and I knew for a fact that he wasn't concentrating on the road.
"Just to let you know, you need to make a sharp right in four seconds."
His eyes shot to the road in front of him and his hand quickly let go of mine as he flicked the back right light on and swerved into our turning, letting out a string of curses.
"Bloody hell, that was too close."
"Well, you should've kept your eyes on the road, not your girlfriend," I said, smirking at him.
"Kinda hard when you can't take your eyes off her," he replied, giving me a fleeting smile.
I rolled out my eyes as he drove over the bridge that could've passed as a foot bridge and into the small car park which consisted of around ten spaces.
A few were already taken as where we were staying was a lodge. Here meant a lot to me which was why I took him - to show him somewhere that meant something to me.
I reached over to turn the music down as he parked and turned off the engine.
After a second of silence, he turned on his seat to face my direction and gave me a daring smirk, as if challenging me to open the door and hop out.
Our gazes were so intense that I could feel shivers run down my back and the urge for action kicking in making me smack my lips on his in a rush. He instinctively placed his hands on either side of my face and I ran my fingers in his hair with one hand, the other gripping onto the back of his shoulder blade.
The heat was blistering, making my lips throb and the passion was so deep that I could feel tingles and shivers overtake my nerves and senses.
Kissing him was glorious.
