-Emily's POV-

*a month later*

Summer is ending in two weeks so I'll have to go back home. I'm in a bad mood when I think that because it has been the best summer so far. I guess it's true that good things don't last forever.

My thoughts are slowly fading away as someone opens the door. It's Martin. A smile appears on my face as he sits besides me on the bed.

"Hey..I'm back from home and I'm kinda hungry." he says rubbing his tummy

"Actually you're always hungry" I comment teasingly. He rolls his eyes playfully

"Oh shut up!" he says throwing a pillow on my face before I giggle

"So get up and wear some nice clothes. I'm taking my girl out tonight" he states, rubbing my cheek gently with his thumb.

"Okay Mr. Demanding. I will!" I reply and peck on his cheek. His smile widens, showing the amusement in his eyes.

I open my closet, trying to figure out a cute outfit, which takes me less than 3 minutes. I was about to take off my clothes when I realize that Martin is still in my room. I turn back to meet him staring at me with the smiling face he had like three minutes ago. Bursting out laughing, I ask him

"You look like a creep, you know that?" I joke

He keeps staring at me

"Martijn, I-I kinda want to change. So.. would you mind?" I ask, eyebrow raised, still have a laughy face.

"You look gorgeous when you're being watched" he finally says some words.

"Aw thank you, but I really need to change!"

"I won't bother you, I swear"

"Martin!" I chuckle and blush, "Please?"

Then he giggles and leaves the room afterwards

That boy is my life

I finally change clothes and straighten my hair. After applying some make-up, I grab my phone, some money and I leave my room.

"Look who's looking beautiful again!" my aunt exclaims and everyone else smiles.

"Thank you, auntie! See you later!" I wave at them and open the door after grabbing Martin's hand.

We walked to McDonald's next to the cinema and quickly sit on a table. I haven't eaten a hamburger for a long time. That makes me even hungrier.

"What would you like to order?" he asks me

"I want a big mac with fries"

"Wow I'll take two" he says sticking his tongue out making me chuckle.

I am left alone on the table, so I pick up my phone and lazily get on Instagram until Martin comes

"Excuse me" a boy on my age grabs my attention. He has big blue eyes and light brown hair. I can tell he is a Dutch teenager.

"Yes?" I reply awkwardly.

"Are you dating Martin Garrix?" he asks, smiling.

His smile may be charming but that's a no for me.

"I think that's none of your business" I answer with the biggest smile I could give. Just go get a personal life, right?

"It's definitely not, I don't care, but it was a question so I could get in touch with you" he grins, showing a row of his white teeth.
"I'm afraid you won't. Please go back to your table" I say turning my gaze to my phone again.

"I'm sorry. You are just so hot, even my zipper is falling for you" he blurts out before a group of boys goes 'ohhh'.

"Excuse me?!" I gasp. Scanning him with my eyes, I'm looking for a good reply. But I stay there, looking him 'high-five' his friends.

I just roll my eyes and turn in front of me. I almost jump when I see Martin back, glaring at him.

Oh

OH

That's bad

"You'd better take that back dude" he demands silently. Yet, I know he is boiling in anger. I watch as he balls his fists and I try to get use to his mood. I'm not used to seeing him angry. I had seen him before, with Jason, but I just can't imagine him getting angry.

"Or what?" I can hear the boy reply and I bite my lip as I can imagine what could happen next. They have a conversation in Dutch, which I can't understand, but it's not hard to realise that Martin is ready to slap his face off.

"I think we should go, yeah?" I get up slowly, placing a hand on his shoulder. Then I hear the boy saying something which I guess was really bad.

I thought Martin would obey and come with me out of here, but I hear a sound that made me worry.

A sound of violence.

He slapped him?

With my eyes widening, I glance back at the boys. Silence has filled the room as all I can hear is Martin's heavy breath. It didn't take me long to grab his arm and take hin outside quickly.

"What did you do??" I whisper-shout at him, as possible as it sounds.

"Why are you always not trying to defense yourself?" he says, with anger still shown in his eyes.

"Gosh, Martin, he was like 15. And why would I defense myself by slapping him?"

He doesn't answer and I sigh heavily

"Just don't be violent again, okay? I appreciate you doing that for me but that was too much"

"I want you to know that I won't let stupid guys with shitty dirty pick-up lines approach you." he replies after a while

"I don't want you to be overprotective. Thanks, but I could hit him too. But-" I get interrupted by a small Martin's giggle

"Emily Rachel Evans, you can't even kill a fly" he says mockingly, making me slightly gasp

"That's not actually true, I- okay I'm serious here. You think I am innocent and kind and all but I can be just as rebellious and careless like you and raise my hand and-"

"Ssshh. Rebel? You? I know that the only bad thing you can do is stay up late." he laughs "you're so- no, wait, you are the exact opposite thing of rebel"

I gasp annoyed at his words, which might be true actually but I'll never admit.

"Now don't speak. Will you stay up late and eat these hamburgers with me?" he suggests and a smile slowly appears on my face

"If that makes me a rebel" I state, showing my playful-rebellious kind of mood.

"Okay rebel" he chuckles, wrapping a hand around my waist and planting a small kiss on my forehead.

I swear he can be the most dangerous boy yet the sweetest at the same time
