When you left
All I wanted was
My pain to end
I was willing to die
I thought about how to end it
Convinced myself it was worth it
But then
I looked around
Saw all I had
My life was perfect
And I was willing to give it all up
Because of you
Never again will I let anyone
Take this from me
Never again will I let anyone
Hurt me
When I am suffering
I will think about
What you almost made me do
And I will be strong
And I will push through
I let the shadows
Take hold of me
Control me
I gave up
I almost lost everything to the darkness
But never again
