Everyone has
Something they hide
Something the world will never see
Sometimes they hide it so well
They hide it even from themself
Sometimes it won't be hidden
Sometimes it shows
But either way
A shadow kept inside
Will take over eventually
You will become your secret
A dark shadow
Locked away
Hidden from the world
Until
It grows strong enough
To escape
It won't escape quietly
It will kill everything it finds
It won't be locked away a second time
So don't hide your feelings
Don't keep them in
Let them go free
Let them escape
Onto paper, into the air
Speak them, write them
But don't
Don't hide them
