3; Surprise!

In the afternoon, Y/N cleans up the living room with Chen and D.O. Chen is only there because he made the biggest mess earlier. D.O is very anil and nitpicky about everything, and it's funny to watch Chen put things in the wrong place to watch him squirm.
But soon, she gets tired of cleaning things, and tells D.O she'll back back soon. She doesn't know how accurate this is, but he smiles and lets her leave and turns back to yell at Chen, so she isn't really given time to feel guilty.
She hasn't interacted with Kris or Yixing much, and Kris went out earlier to get groceries—since Tao is still convinced it's sexist to make her do it—so she tries to find Yixing. From what people have told her, Yixing hangs out on the patio or in the backyard most often, so she starts outside with her search.
She ends up wandering away from the house a little bit, following the flowers and the footsteps that have to be Yixing's that go towards the little clearing in the woods.
Y/N's always hated the woods. It's cold and damp and there are sticks everywhere. Luhan has lent her a pair of his old shoes to wear but they're slightly too big and slip off her heel a little bit as she walks, burning blisters into her feet, and it's sad.
She bends down to pick at some wild flowers, and she begins crafting a bouquet. She doesn't know who she'll give it to or why but she still makes it and carries it back to the house. Halfway back she realizes she's going the complete wrong way to the house because she's never seen any of this scenery before, and she's cold and slightly hungry.
So she turns around and tries finding the clearing again. She finds it quickly, and tries another way. Slowly, that way becomes familiar. She's starting to regain hope. She keeps following that path until she realizes this route is familiar because it's the one she took before turning around and starting to walk this way.
It's been about five minutes, and she's hungry and can feel the life drain out of her. She's slowly dying in this forest, she hasn't eaten anything in at least four hours. This is what it's like to starve.
She turns around and finds the clearing again, but this time there's two men standing in it, and one's silvery hair and loud voice is familiar, as well as the other's boyish pout and blond hair.
It's Baekhyun and Sehun.
"Baekhyun! S-Sehun!"
They turn at her voice, and Sehun laughs exasperatedly and Baekhyun lunges at her, trapping her in his arms and rubbing his cheek on the crown of her head. She laughs a little bit, and Baekhyun seems to hear and laughs too, and when he lets go of her he immediately latches onto her hand because he won't have her lost again, apparently.
He says it's been two hours, and she's confused because it's felt like ten minutes. She asks Baekhyun where Yixing is, and he tells her he's been in his room all day. For God's sakes.
She goes up to his room after breaking though the crowd of people who thought she was dead. It's farther away from the one she shares with Chanyeol, if she even co-owns it anymore.
When she gets there, she knocks quietly, hoping he's not asleep because she doesn't want two members of the house absolutely hating her. She knocks again, but just as her knuckles go to hit the wood of the door, it's swung open, and she hits Yixing right in the eye.
"What is i-aargh!"
"Y-Yixing! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!"
The noise she mistook for pained yelps is actually his laughter, and quickly she's laughing too. They stand there laughing for probably two minutes, gasping and holding their ribs and stomachs and apparently Chen heard or saw what happened because he shows up laughing too.
After calming down he invites her in, and she hopes he doesn't think anything is wrong. He sits on his computer chair and looks right at her, ignoring the video that's still playing on his screen. The volume is still slightly up and she can hear soft music so she smiles at him, relaxed.
"How are you?"
He looks taken aback, like this question and the audacity of her to ask it is baffling him, but Chen says he looks like that all the time, so she doesn't worry. He hums, tapping his thigh with his pointer finger, and she didn't think it would be such a difficult question for him.
"I-I'm good. Yeah, yeah I'm good."
She smiles, and notices inner turmoil written on his face. She's seen that expression many times. She scoots forward to the end of the bed, and places a hand on his knee, and he jumps a little bit, eyes going wide and hand gripping her wrist harshly.
Once he remembers it's her, his grip slackens and his eyes soften and his mumbles out apologies, and he looks apologetic as her shoves her out the door. His voice is grumbly and it sounds as if he's growling at her to get out, but she ignores it as just his normal voice.
She doesn't know why he wants her to leave, but she goes to Suho right away, just to report some odd behaviour, just like he's asked her to.
When she gets there, there's yelling from inside the office. There's pounding and yelling and shatters and the entire thing is scaring her. As soon as there's a scream she's running away, and she runs right into the chest of Kai, and she accidentally pushes him backwards, and before she can turn and apologize her legs are propelling her outside, and she's running away as fast as she can because to large figures in the house are yelling and screaming and it brings back too many memories that she can't listen to it anymore.
Her run morphs into jogging, and her jogging morphs into walking and she just slowly walks to the nearest tree because her legs are so tired and her arms can't keep up with the amount of tears.
"Y/N?"
She doesn't look up, but is confused how they found her so fast. She doesn't want to go back, she doesn't want to have to face whoever was arguing with Suho and him because then they'll sit her down like her parents did and list all the reasons it's not her fault, even though her name was sprinkled throughout the argument.
"G-Go away."
"No."
"I don't want you here!" She screams at him, and she doesn't even know who had the guts to follow her here but she doesn't like him.
"Well I don't want to watch you cry."
"T-Too bad-d"
She feels herself get picked up, and she's torn between trying to escape and falling asleep in this person's arms.
She picks the first option.
She starts wiggling and pounding her fists on his back. She's still wailing and she can feel his laughter rumbling.
"L-Let me go!"
"Okay."
He drops her on the grass, and she can feel the water seep into her clothing and onto her skin. Baekhyun is going to kill her since this is his shirt, D.O is going to kill her because these are his pants, and Luhan's going to kill her because these are his shoes.
Basically, she's dead.
She looks up to see Kris, laughing hysterically at her on the ground. When he notices her looking, he tries to look all cool, but ends up spitting all over the place and ruffling his hair and he looks probably twice as ridiculous as she does in all this baggy clothing, and without realizing it, she starts pouting.
Kris leans down and pulls at her cheeks, laughing still.
He stands straight up when someone comes crashing through the trees, yelling and panting, four people behind him.
"Y/N?!"
"Y/N!"
Kris takes a deep breath, yelling over them.
"We are over here!"
She squeaks when he pulls her up, and suddenly Kai has latched onto her shaking her and she notices he's shaking slightly too, which for him seems extremely out of character.
"Ka-"
He shushes her, holding his pointer finger at her lips, and he grabs her wrist and starts dragging her.
She's so shocked by his earlier character change and is so busy thinking about what could've caused it, she doesn't notice being pulled towards the house until they're outside, and she tries escaping again.
"N-No! Stop!"
"Put her down, now."
A blond male stands opposite to them. His hair is so blond it's almost pure white, and his aura is so charismatic she can't not stare. She wonders who he is, but the way Kai pushes her behind him, she guesses that she doesn't want to know.
"I believe the lady asked you to leave her alone, correct?"
His voice is smooth, and his eyes fleet around, calculating everyone and everything in his path. He looks right at her, and smiles just a little bit, flicking his finger.
She's grabbed from behind before Kai can reach her.

A little bit shorter this time, but I'll make up for it next chapter. If I'm being honest, this chapter was really just a filler until the end. I promise there won any disappointments with the next chapter. Until next time,
