It's been a week since our summer break has started and I am thinking to do something more productive other than my job at the boutique. And obviously I'm failing miserably. I just don't want to work. Summer exhausts me too much.

I check my to-do list and see that I have finished two shifts for Rachael already. Yay! One work off my shoulders.

Recently, we all bestfriends decided about that awesome trip to Dubai and said that we would be going in mid May, that is most probably on 18th, some days before my birthday, so that we can celebrate it then.

My phone rings, making ne drop all my thoughts. I see the caller who appears to be Megan.

"Hey Meg!" I greet.

"Hey. Are you free right now? Well if no, be free, 'cause I'm coming. I'm being bored to death here." She says, not waiting for my response.

"Your cousin has come over, I suppose." I state.

"Yeah, right." She says sighing and I hear a loud squeal from behind. I laugh and she sighs harder.

"I'm sending her with Dylan to the Play Spot. She loves it there and Dylan was ready to take her there. He has some friend coming to meet him." She says.

"Great! You can come. I know how tired you might be." I say, trying to control my laughter when she groans again and again at the squeals behind her.

"See you then!" I say and end the call.

Dylan was Megan's elder brother who was just months younger to Jordan and loved to hang out with him. Jordan too luked bein with him, so whenever you heard that Jordan is going out with someone, it always was Dylan.

After half an hour or so, the door bell rings and without seeing through the peep hole, I open the door and a tired, sleepy Megan comes to view.

"Didn't sleep the whole night I suppose." I say, laughing at her state right now.

"She came yesterday night after we came back from the trip. Her mother said, 'Take of my dear innocent child, please!' And went away." She says sighing, and makes her voice screechy when telling what her cousin's mom said.

Her cousin was a complete nuisance. She loved irritating the hell out of Megan and she always showed how awesome and innocent she was in front of her mother and Aunt, that is, Megan's mom.

"What happened about that Party where you and Bryan were partners?" Meg asks.

"Are." I correct. Then the thought strikes me. I still have to go shopping!

I don't realise that I spoke my thoughts out loud.

"What!?" Meg asks me. She turns into a state of shock. "The party's tomorrow right?" She asks and I nod. How beautiful. I see the pamphlet that Bryan had handed me yesterday night.

"Its a simple party, but there's load of fun, there's no theme so wear whatever you like. But don't forget that it should match your partner." I recite what was written in the pamphlet.

"And how do we know that your outfit matches his?" Meg asks.

"We need to find an outfit which at least suits 25% with mine. That's enough." I say.

"You are so dumb when it comes to partner parties, Ash. You have to completely match your partner!" She says.

"You are right. I am dumb when it comes to partner parties." I agree, but hesitantly.

"So the first thing is, we go shopping! Shopping for outfits. And I am sure, buying an outfit takes a day with you." She says.

She was right. I was a bit choosey with clothes and whatever didn't look good on me which I liked, spoilt my mood all too quickly. Even clothes that didn't cover me properly made me mad.

"Okay, then let's go now." I say enthusiastically. "We will see the make up supplies tomorrow." She says.

"Yup!" I say excitedly.

I change into a better outfit and we both walk to the local mall, where we would buy my whole outfit.

"What should we buy the first?" She asks, rubbing her hands together. "What are you going for?" She asks again.

"I think I could wear a dress." I reply.

"You should wear a dress." She corrects.

"Okay then. Let's go." I say and we start looking for a shop where we will get good dresses.

At last we come to a huge shop where we could get really nice dresses. According to the clothes put up on the manequins, I think they would look really good on me.

We run through all dresses, many liked, buglt some not. We removed all the ones that we liked and put them on the counter to choose from they all really were good and my choice was getting difficult with so many nice dresses coming out.

After seeing all possible dresses I take a look at the manequins. On one manequin I saw a really cute white and black mermaid dress. It was complete white and the design which was in black, was just below the chest only at the sides. It looked wonderful.

"Can I try that one in my size?" I ask the sales woman.

"Of course!" She says and smiles, walking to one of the counters and searching for my size. After some time she gets the dress and hands it to me.

"I'll try this one." I tell Megan and she just nods without looking at me. She still was searching for good ones in the stack we chose.

I enter the changing room and put on the gown.

It was hanging on to my body perfectly. The dress hugged my curves at the right places and I looked damn good in the dress.

I get out of the room to show Meg.

Both, the sales woman and Megan look at me at the same time when I call them.

"You look gorgeous babe! You look unbelievable!" Meg says, coming closer to get a better look. "This is just amazing!" She adds. She looks me top to down once again, and smiles widely at me.

"This dress is better to any dress you chose from this pile and it really looks amazing on you." The sales woman tells me smiling warmly. Both of them have loved the dress.

Another customer enters the shop and she looks at me.

"That dress is looking so beautiful!" She compliments. Well even she liked it, so it really did look good. I thank her and get back into the room, already decided what I was buying.

We buy all the necessary things that were needed to be with the dress.

I check the time and see that it was 9 o'clock. I had already passed my dinner time.

"We should go and eat sonething. I'm completely exhausted!" I say.

"Let's go." She replies and we walk to a nearby restaurant, have our dinner and go back home. I drop Megan home and then walk to my own house.
