Chapter 18

♡ASHLEY EVERDEEN♡

"Megan Hartley? Are you here for Ashley?" Charlotte asks Megan as though meeting her for the first time.

"Meg, what people say is right. You look damn different with make up on.  You look more of a hideous creature." I joke and Charlotte my nurse laughs with me.

She gives me a dead-panned stare saying, "I think I can get worse after that joke. Well that wasn't even a joke."

"Ah, forget it!" I say, flipping my hand to just let it go.

"Okay, getting back to the point, to let your ankle get some exercise, you need to start walking. Tell me if it hurts too much, okay?" She says and helps me get out of bed.

I stand, but not very steadily, trying to walk. I literally feel like a kid learning to walk.

"Megan, hold her right hand please." Charlotte orders.

Megan immediately comes to help. The door opens and Tyler walks straight in without greeting us.

"Is there Wi-Fi here?" he asks the Charlotte.

He spreads his legs on the tea-table before him and crosses them.

"Sir, you are in a hospital and you need to behave." Charlotte scolds him.

"Oh don't worry babe, its not that bad." Tyler defends himself.

"Tyler." Is all I need to say when he gets his feet down.

"So.. you didn't tell me if there was Wi-"Meg and I cut him off.

"Tyler!"

"Oh jeez! I was just asking for Wi-Fi!" Tyler defends him again.

We three sigh at his audacity to even ask for it again.

This guy can't live a second without having his way. And yeah, even Wi-Fi.

I continue walking with Meg and Charlotte holding me.

"I think the doctor can discharge her now, can't he?" Meg asks Charlotte.

"No! He can't! Her head injury was way to harsh and he thinks it to be too soon to leave her." She says.

"Oh. But my headaches are way too less now, and I'm pretty sure I can handle myself well." I say.

"You talk to the doctor." She says.

We all sigh together. While I'm walking back to my bed, we hear some kind of commotion outside. We all open the door and see what all of it is.

Some gang of roadies stand there with baseball bats and knuckle weapons. The one holding the doctor by his collar, looks like the gang leader.

"Where is he! Say it you-" He is cut of by the sound of a punch he gives to the doctor in his gut.

"Stop this nonsense!" Charlotte shouts from beside me, the whole hospital now looking at us. "Stop it. You are in a hospital and you are expected to behave like it!" She shouts.

"Who are you to say?" The leader now drawing closer to us.

"I'm the nurse here. And yes, there are patients here and thats why we call it a hospital. Making a commotion and so much noise is least expected. You want to show how much you can scream? Get out of here, then do it." She says. I'm stunned that she was so brave.

"Girl, don't get into this." He says.

"I will!" Charlotte yells.

The man starts coming closer. I wince even though he is not coming closer to me. I glance Charlotte's way to see she hasn't budged at all even when he was so close.
