Okay, I know the name of this chapter seems kinda lame, but it was all I could think of at the moment. :p
Anyway, I'm almost finished writing the next chapter as well, so that should be up soon. Please remember to vote and leave a comment. Thanks for reading!
Kaila's P.O.V.
I sit in my study hall, scribbling down answers on a sheet of paper. The room is completely silent, except for the sounds of pencils scratching and the occasional cough, or clearing of someone's throat. I let out a small sigh, holding my head in my hand as I stare at my paper. I close my eyes, trying to rest them, if only for just a moment. This homework is going to be hard.
My eyes shoot open, looking down as I feel a small bubbling in my stomach. 'I'm still hungry' I think. 'Just great.'
I roll my eyes along with the silent thought, before I feel something hit the back of my neck. My hand shoots up, automatically feeling the spot where the unknown object had hit. Unable to find the object, I turn around to look behind me. My hair falls to frame my face as I look down in search for whatever it was. Looking behind me, under my desk, under my chair, just as I turn around, I see something white fall from my hoodie. My eyes follow it as the small thing falls, bouncing when it comes in contact with the floor, then stops.
I do a quick look around the room, looking to see if anybody is watching me. Once I deduce that no one is looking, or even cares, for that matter, I slowly reach down and pick the small object up. Feeling it in between my fingers, I am able to tell that it's a small, crumpled up piece of paper. I look around once again, before unraveling the object.
My brows furrow at the writing on the paper before I turn around, a deadpan look on my face. 'Sup, Kail's?' I mouth to Sam, who in turn waves to me. I sweatdrop. 'Please don't tell me that's your new nickname for me.' I mouth pleadingly, to which Sam rapidly nods, close eyed smile on her face. I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.
I see another scrap of paper out of the corner of my eye as it lands on my desk. I sigh again, unraveling this piece as well. 'Well, answer me. :p' it says.
I ignore it, shaking my head as I continue to work on my Algebra. Another scrap lands to my right. And another right in front of me. The next hits me in the shoulder, and my head after that. "Kaila...." I hear Sam whisper, before I feel yet another scrap of paper hitting me on the back. "Hey, Kaila!" She whispers again, causing me to feel a vein pop on my forehead.
"Kaila...." she whispers, another scrap hitting me each time she calls. "Kaaaiiiilaaa......... Kaila!"
Another vein. "Kaaaaaailaaaaaah........!" I hear her huff, before I feel several scraps hitting me at once. My eyebrow twitches in irritation. "Kaila.....Kail's.....Kailee.....Kalooh....Kahlep....." Several scraps hit each time, before what feels life fifty hit me at once. "Ka.."
"WHAT?" I shout, before I look around to notice everybody glaring at me. "S-sorry" I say, laughing as I sheepishly rub the back of my neck, before I turn to Sam and hiss "what?" Just as I get the word out of my mouth, however, I feel another scrap hit me right in the center of my forehead, causing my eyebrow to start twitching again. Sam sweatdrops.
...........
"I really wish you had just told me!" I say to Sam after study hall, referring to all of the notes she had bombarded me with. "It was a quiet period." She says with a pout. My eyebrow twitches. She has a point.
I sigh, running my hand down my face. "Well, then why couldn't you have waited until after study hall? You could've waited till then to tell me the details of the study group!"
