Maybe I was completely wrong about this entire situation.
Maybe this was like those sitcoms when you think someone has a crush on you, when in fact they just think of you as a close friend and it all ends in disaster.
Maybe they love eachother.
Maybe I'm just being self centered.
I sighed, though couldn't help the tears that escaped my eyes.
I really thought he had the slightest of interest in me.
Then it hit me. The weeping came to a sudden end. And I rushed through the hallways.
>>>FLASHBACK<<<
"We.. Um. Are close. And like brother and sister- right? And um, I've discussed this with Ben, he says its cool. So uh do you want to... Maybe.. Go.. Uhh.." He stuttered for about five minutes, before blurting it out. "Go on a hunt with me." I could tell by his voice he was lying, and used that as a replacement for what we all know he was going to say.
Laughter let out a relieved sigh, making me elbow him in the ribs. "Shuddup." I smirked and looked back at Jacky, who we both know clearly was frowning.
"Sure Jacky. Even though we do that weekly." I laughed and placed my hand on his glove.
>>>END OF FLASHBACK<<<
Jacky discussed this with Ben- therefore if I could just pressure him into telling me exactly what Jack told him.
I threw open the door only to find him asleep, wrapped in Jenevees arms. I just couldn't bring myself to call her mom just yet- I've only known her for a few days.
I smiled softly to myself and closed the door again, making my way downstairs to find Jacky. I couldn't see him, so I just walked past him with a blank expression.Tears threatened my eyes at the glimpse of my recollection from earlier today. I couldn't even bring my eyes to take in his figure. "What's up Kitten?" His arms wrapped around my waist from behind swiftly, though I quickly swatted them off. "Don't touch me." I hissed in his direction as I sat the farthest away from him on the blue couch.
"What's wrong?" The sorrow was screaming through his voice.
So much for hiding my emotions.
I shrugged and switched on the tv. 'The Notebook' was on. I cringed in disgust and quickly switched it to anything else. I hated that movie. Much too sappy. And I wasn't in the mood for anything romantic while Jack was in the mood.
A few more minutes I heard myself speak against my will power. "Who is Emma?"
Oh great, I just started something.
"Who?" He stuttered and started fiddling with his clothed fingers.
He should be nervous.
"Who. Is. Emma." I repeated this time.
"She- did you see me at the tree this morning?" He blurted, and I breathed out shakily. "Yes, Jack. And once again I'm asking you-"
His warm lips found mine instantly and her mumbled a: "I'm sorry Kitten." Inbetween.
Normally, I would've kissed back gratefully with no hesitation, but that wasn't the case right now.
I shoved his body off of me and stood to my feet, scowling down at his confused figure. "Get off of me you cheating bastard! How dare you?!" I screamed and stormed up to my room.
If he thinks he can just kiss me and the world would be at peace, he's got another thing coming. I will get revenge, no doubt.
And I know precisely how to.
