Dear whoever is reading this,

Just remember, love can do crazy things.

Sincerely,

A very happy, broken person

"Are you ready?" My best friend Harper asked me.

"I've been waiting all week!" I said

What have I been waiting for you ask? I've been waiting to go back for the rodeo. My family lives in a small town in western Kansas named Phillipsburg. They have the biggest rodeo in Kansas. Harpers dad owns a lodge in a another little town in western Kansas named Hill City. They offered to give me a ride back there because Hill City is only an hour away from Phillipsburg.

I loaded my stuff into the car and we headed to Harpers house. I live in Eudora and she lives in Linwood. It's only ten minutes away but I rarely get to see her. Her dad and my dad have been best friends since they were young.

"Ethan is bringing a friend." She said. Ethan is a year older than Harper and I. He is also one of Harpers older brothers.

"Really? Anyone I know?" I asked.

"His name is Nathan Connors." She said.

"Nope, never met him!" I said.

We finally arrived at Harpers house. We were leaving tomorrow for Hill City. Until we leave, we are going to Eudora's carnival.

Harper and I walked into Kurt's room. Kurt is Harpers oldest brother who just graduated high school. Kurt is also one of my favorite people.

Kurt and I are about the same height. He's quite short for his age because I'm just 5'6. He has short curly dirty blonde hair. He's very muscular. Also he has beautiful blue eyes. Kurt doesn't mind if I walk into his room and sit on his bed just to watch him play video games. This time he let my play with his bee bee gun. I have a pretty good shot!

"Harper, when is Ethan and this Nathan kid going to be home?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. Why?" she asked.

"Well, because they are the only people we are waiting on to go to the carnival." I said.

We eventually had to wait about another hour until the boys got home. I was fuming when they finally arrived. I don't like waiting on people.

I looked up to see the most gorgeous boy walk in Harpers front door with Ethan. I was wide eyed and my jaw almost dropped The boy looked about fifteen. He was about 5'10. He had gorgeous blonde hair with his bangs gelled up. He had bright blue eyes, like the sea. He was sun kissed. He stood very muscular. His grey shirt fit him nicely. Complimenting his muscles and six pack.

We made eye contact. We stared into each others eyes for a minutes. He broke the stare as I watched his eyes trail down my body. At the same time, my eyes did the same.

Ethan began to speak, "Oh hi, Roxanne! This is Nathan."

"Hello, Nathan. I'm Roxanne." I said.

Nathan held his hand out for a hand shake.

"Hello, Roxanne." He said warmly.

I shook his hand. The moment we grasped each others hands, I felt tingles shoot up my arms.

Jane, Harpers mom, walked into the room.

"Are you guys ready to go?" She asked as she looked down to see that Nathan and I haven't let go of each others hands.

I jerked back and said "Yes! I'm ready. Uh, I'll be in the car!"

And with that Harper and I were out the door and into the car in seconds.
