"Roxanne, can you tell me the answer?" Mr. Durkin, my World Geography teacher asked me.
"Africa." I replied.
"Very good, Miss Hart! Now class, I hope you have a great Christmas break and I will see you in two weeks! I need to talk to you, Miss Hart, if you'd please see me after class." Mr. Durkin said.
The bell rang and I waited for the kids to clear out of the room.
"Ok, so how are you doing in wrestling? Are the boys giving you trouble?" he asked. Durkin is also the wrestling coach.
"It's great actually. I'm getting back into the hang of things. I can do the whole seven miles now and the rest of the work out. Can I have a little more help stretching though? The doctor said someone needs to help me with that." I said.
"Sure. I'll make sure someone helps you with that today after school at practice."
"Thanks Durkin." I said.
"You know, you've been doing this since you were, what, five? You're one of my best wrestlers and I don't want you to quit for anything. If any of those boys are giving you shit, tell me."
"Yes sir."
About ten minutes later, I was making my way down to the locker room. I had to walk from my locker down the hallway to the lunch room and then turn right into the locker room hallway. I had to pass the first two guys locker room and then turned left into the girls varsity locker room.
A couple of basketball girls were in there getting ready. I knew some of them, nice girls I'd say.
"Hey, Roxanne? Are you wrestling?" one of them asked me. Her name was Samantha Graham. She's a tall skinny girl with fiery red hair, bright blue eyes and freckles all over her face.
"Duh, stupid. She's been doing it all of her life." another girl said to Samantha. Her name was Regina Rains. She is also tall, but built. She has short black hair and dark brown eyes.
"Yeah I'm wrestling." I said giving them a smile.
"Girls aren't supposed to wrestle." Another girl named Mary Schneiders said from across the room. She's a short blonde headed girl. Not much to really say about her other than she's a bitch to everyone. "Only hoes do it."
"Then why aren't you doing it sweetie?" I asked her.
She didn't say anything except just glare at me.
"Exactly." I said giving her a wink and smiling at the rest of the girls as I walk out and head to practice.

"Alright, Hart." Durkin said. "You're stretching partner will be...... Brandon Willis."
I couldn't look at him. My stomach dropped and everything went into slow motion when he pronounced the devils name.
"Uh.... duh... nuh....." I heard slip out of my mouth.
"Is there a problem, Miss Hart?" Durkin asked.
I snapped out of my trance and was about to blow up, but I thought that wouldn't be good for me. "No sir. Not at all."
"WILLIS!" Durkin shouted.
"Yes sir!" Brandon replied.
"You're Miss Harts new stretching partner for the rest of the season. Treat her nice and stretch her out good. Understand?" Durkin said.
"Oh, I will." he said checking me out.
"Keep it in your pants and out of me. I can do more than flip you over." I said glaring at him.
"Look. I was just kidding. You don't have to get your panties in a bunch." He said. "And I was drunk when I came up to you. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean anything I said that night at the bowling alley. If you'd please forgive me."
"We'll see. Just start stretching me out."
I lied down and put one leg in the air so he could push it down.
"You can push harder than that. Put all of your weight on it. Like lay on it. You won't hurt me." I said grabbing my leg and helping him by pulling it to my chest.
"You're flexible." he said. "Damn."
He grabbed my other leg and we did the same. We took turns helping each other stretch. I looked in the corner of my eye and saw my brother keeping an eye on us.
Soon after stretching, we ran and went to the weight room.
"Alright, were making this simple. Your stretching partner is you weights partner." Coach Maze announced.
Of course.
I looked over at Brandon who was already looking at me. He wiggled his eye brows at me and winked at me.
I worded 'you wish' and rolled my eyes.
Brandon used to come over to our house with Brody. They used to be really close friends until Brandon got into drugs. We'd used to take the boat out and go swimming in our pond. That was four years ago when I was in sixth grade and they were eighth graders. Now he runs around with a horrible crowd. Ever since he did that to me at bowling alley, Brody doesn't talk to him at all.
When practice was over, I couldn't wait to get home. I ran to my car and jumped into the drivers seat and started the car. I was so close to pulling out when I heard a nock on my window. Guess who.
"Can I have rides home from practice? I don't have my car yet. I'm going to get it in February." Brandon said.
"Sure." I said with a sigh.
I moved all of my CDs to the back and waited for him to get in the car.
I pulled out of the parking and started driving towards town.
"You live on Maple, right?" I asked.
"Yes. I really appreciate this, thanks a lot." he said.
"Yeah no problem."
"You know, I have been clean for two months now. No drugs, no alcohol."
"That's good!"
"Yeah. If you could, please tell Nathan I said sorry. And your brother and his friends."
"Yeah. I will. See you tomorrow."
