I Don't Have A Hero. I'm Your Hero (X-Ray and Vav FF)

Chapter 5

I sat in my living room stretched out on my couch waiting for X-Ray or Vav to call me. I sighed sitting up and just as I did that Rusty bursted in and shut the door behind him. "Rusty what are you doing here?" I asked getting off of the couch. "It's a long story. Things are getting bad out there Mavis and I came to get you before we go get X-Ray and Vav." Rusty said as he rummaged through my kitchen looking for alcohol.

"Rusty now is not the time for alcohol, after this shit we can but not now. We need to get to my brothers." I told him.

He stopped what he was doing and nodded, "You're right. Common let's get to your moms house." Rusty said walking out and I quickly followed after.

I ran into my moms house quickly and bolted the door while Rusty fought our hundred year old neighbor. "Mavis is that you?" I heard my mom ask. "Mom go in your room and lock yourself in it, make sure that the windows are closed and blinds shut!" I yelled as I ran to the kitchen then down the basement to where X-Ray and Vav hang out. I didn't hear her respond as I burst into the room a couple of seconds after Rusty bursted in through the window.

"Quit punching the lady you maniac!" Vav yelled at Rusty.

I quickly helped Rusty knock her out. "Mavis what are you doing?!" X-Ray asked. After we knocked her out Rusty sat up wiping the sweat off his forehead, "That is one tough old lady." He said.

"You just beat the crap out of my neighbor, she's like a hundred man! What's wrong with you?" X-Ray exclaimed.

"X-Ray calm down, we had to do it." I said walking to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, that's not your neighbor. I suspect she's been put on mind control by the government and was sent to kill you guys. That or she's a zombie." Rusty said after me. "Shut up Rusty." X-Ray told him while moving my hand off his shoulder. The phone started to ring soon after making us all look at it. "The X-Ray and Vav rescue hotline, our first caller!" Vav said excitedly.

"Don't pick it up! It could be a zombie." Rusty warned them.

"I said shut up Rusty." X-Ray said taking a step closer while pointing a finger at him. Rusty crossed his arms over his chest and I smacked the back of X-Ray's head. We X-Ray both started a glare off between the two of us. "X-Ray and Vav rescue hotline, my name is Vav how can I help you?" Vav asked with pep making me and X-Ray break our glaring contest to look at him.

We watched as he looks listened to what the person said on the other side of the phone. "We always come quickly mister mayor sir." Vav said before hanging up and putting the phone down.

"There's trouble brewing X-Ray and I'm not talking about tea time. Also I think the Mayor's a pirate." Vav said as he turned to us.

"Awesome! Time to kick some butt." X-ray said punching his hand with a smirk. "Huh, pirate." Rusty muttered next to me my gaze flickered to him briefly before going back to X-Ray and Vav. "What do we do with the old lady?" Vav asked X-Ray with a raised eyebrow. "I'll take care of it. MOM, GARBAGE!" X-Ray yelled up to our mom startling Vav when he suddenly yelled. I sighed shaking my head.
