Chapter 6

"Don't you dar-"

"TOO LATE!" X-Ray yelled cutting my off as he activated his x-ray glasses, blasting the wall making a huge whole. "Oh yeah!" X-Ray cheered, him and Vav stepped into the room as I sighed walking out from behind the wall along with Rusty. "How can we help Mr. Mayor?" Vav asked as him and X-Ray placing their hands on their hips.

"Oh you've helped plenty already." A man said as he swiveled the chair around to face us with the Mayor at his side.

"The Corpirate, I should've known." Rusty said narrowing his eyes while hunching down slightly, I tensed up remembering the stories Rusty have told me of him. "Wait, who?" Vav asked looking confused along with X-Ray. "He's Rusty's ex business partner." I said speaking up.

"We meet again." Rusty stated after I finished speaking.

"Ahoy Rusty, you old sea dog. Consorting with these biscuit eaters now, ey?" The Corpirate said as he petted the Mayors head for some reason. "Wait you know this guy?" X-ray asked pointing to him. "Still attempting world domination I see. You must have lost your form if these guys keep ruining your plans." Rusty said pointing his thumb at X-Ray and Vav with a smug grin and closed eyes.

"Hey!" Vav said with furrowed eyebrows.

"None of you scallywags will be causing problems anymore, now that I be wielding... This!" The Corpirate said as he pulled out a giant golden key with three different colored gems from behind his back. Rusty's eyes widened, "Oh shit, that's not good." He said.

"Can someone please explain what's happening!?" X-Ray bursted out.

"This be the sharehold key to the city, it has many uses one of them as you be seeing. Is that it works quite well in controlling people's minds." The Corpirate explained as he poked the Mayors head with the key. "I knew this day would come." Rusty said as he grabbed two tinfoil hats from my bag, putting one on himself and me. He crossed his arms over his chest with a smug grin.

"You big meanie! Leave us boldhead alone!" Vav yelled raising a clenched fist.

"Next I be aiming to recruit the whole city to me crew, by combing the key with the device the Mad King crafted." The Corpirate told us with a smirk. "We kicked his ass and we'll kick yours too." X-Ray said pointing at him with narrowed eyes.

"Aye it's true you did. But luckily his position be opened now, consider yourself hired." The Corpirate said as he pointed the key to X-Ray and Vav, it started to glow blue.

He shot a blue blast hitting X-Ray, "The brown guys first, how original." He said as he fell down. "X-Ray!" Vav and I shouted, we quickly went to our knees next to him. "Ah shit." Rusty said from behind us. "X-Ray speak to me! Say something stupid!" Vav said frantically shaking X-Ray.

The Corpirate laughed as he shot another blast at Vav, hitting him in the chest. "Vav!" I quickly caught him as he collapsed. "Now me new maties, how ya be feeling? Evil?" The Corpirate asked bringing his hand up and closing it. "I feel fine." Vav said sitting up while placing a hand on his head.

"I'm hungry." X-Ray said getting up with narrowed eyes.

I let a relieved breath out dragging them both into a hug. "What be the meaning of this?" The Corpirate asked shocked that it didn't work. Rusty chuckled placing his hands at his hips, "You need to have a mind to control it! These two morons have the emptiest skulls I know." He said pointing at them.

"Gee, thanks Rusty." Vav said blandly as I let them go.

"Rrrg! It be no matter, consider this me golden parachute. Mayor, kill these bafoons." The Corpirate commanded. The Mayor jumped onto the desk making fighting poses and noises, "Aww common, we're not going to fight an old man. Look at him! He probably pees once a month." X-Ray said. That old man slid to X-Ray grabbing him and threw him across the room. The Mayor walked to where he threw X-Ray and grabbed him by his ankle slamming him back and forth on the floor. X-Ray cried out in pain every time he hit the floor.

Rusty and I glanced at each other before grinning and pulling out our weapons, pointing them at the Corpirate. Mine is my knife of course and Rusty pulled out a beer bottle smashing it on the desk. "Alright you corporate toolbag, I've been waiting a long time for this moment." Rusty said crouching low.

"You never could accept progress, so be it. Your no match for me now." The Corpirate said.

Rusty and I jumped forward bringing our weapons down on the key, the Corpirate holding us back. We grunted trying to get the upper hand. I heard X-Ray and Vav yelling and grunts of pain from behind us as they tried to fight the Mayor.

"Guys there you are! I've figured it out the Corpirate needs to use the Mad Kings amplifier to boost the keys mind control power to a magnitude capable of controlling the entire city!" Hilda said as she suddenly bursted in making us all look at her mid swing of our attacks

"Awww, ya think!" X-Ray exclaimed.

"And your supposed to be the smart one." Vav said after. The Mayor let X-Ray go making him face plant the floor. The Corpirate hit Rusty in the head after shoving me to the ground while laughing. "Ah, the Mad Kings concubine. I be needing a mind like yours on me payroll." He said resting the key on his shoulder.

"Hey I am nobody's con-" In the middle of her speech the Corpirate blasted Hilda, putting her under his control.

"Hilda!" I exclaimed. "What be your orders, captain?" Hilda asked as she walked to the Corpirate and stopped to stand next to him. "No! Not miss Hilda!" Vav yelled from under X-Ray. X-Ray shrugged, "Eh, you can have her." He said moving his hand a little.

"Time to send you two stowaways to Davey Jones locker." The Corpirate said pressing one of the gems pointing the key at X-Ray and Vav.

I was getting up next to Rusty when we both realized what he said, "Crap, guys get out of there!" Rusty yelled as he helped me up with him. The key started to glow red and the two struggled to move. Rusty and I quickly ran towards them and jumped onto them just as a red blast that the Corpirate fired hitting all of us. Then we were gone.
