"Madison, I am Dr. Murik," a tall man with short black hair introduced himself, earning no response from me before he continued,"Would you mind telling me what happened in that fire?"
"......Leave me alone," was all I said before shooting him an icy look. He sighed softly before saying,
"I prefer you be more polite to me." I scoffed a little before asking,
"Why should I?"
"Because I'm trying to help you," he explained before I started to laugh before saying,
"Help me? No one can help me. I'm perfectly fine, Murik."
"Madison, ple-" I cut him off by saying,
"Maddie!" He raised an eyebrow before asking,
"I'm sorry, what?"
"My name, is Maddie," I corrected him, smirking widely. I watched him push his glasses up his nose before jotting something down in the big book he was holding before he continued,
"Maddie, please call me Dr. Murik."
"Y'know what? Fuck y-" I was cut off as a nurse slapped me and said,
"Treat Dr. Murik with some respect, child! He is a brilliant man who should be-"
"Please, Nurse Juliette. It's time for 'Maddie's' first group session," Dr. Murik cut her off, holding up a hand. The nurse nodded before leading me out of the room and down a hall. I was hearing loud yells and pleas for help before we came to a small room with two boys and a girl with another nurse sitting there as she asked,
"Cassius, please explain why you tried to attack your baby brother." Cassius tilted his head to the side, his short, black hair moving to the side and allowing one of his shiny, blue eyes to be seen as he said,
"Why did I do it? Bec-" he was cut off by the nurse saying,
"Ah, I'm sorry Cassius, but it looks like we have a new member in our group. Everyone, this is Madison A-" I cut her off by snapping,
"It's Maddie, bitch!"
"Well, 'Maddie,' my name is Nurse Florence and I expect to be addressed as such, are we clear, Madison Aldaine," she asked, narrowing her eyes at me as I growled out,
"Crystal." She nodded and allowed Cassius to continue on,
"I don't know why I did it."
"That's a lie, Cassius."
"No, it's not."
"Cass-" The nurse was cut off as Dr. Murik placed a hand on her shoulder and spoke,
"It's alright, Nurse Florence. I'll convince Mr. Marth to tell us why he did it, besides, I believe Maddie needs to see how disobedience is rewarded here." She nodded a little before getting up and leaving as Cassius' eyes widened and he said,
"W-wait! No! I'm good, I'll behaved! I didn't mean to talk back to her!" His tone of voice was panicked and it frightened me a little. The doctor pulled out a white mask with a long nose, similar to a mask someone would wear to a masquerade. He then pulled out a whip before slapping it across the boy's face. He then pulled out what looked to be pliers before grabbing Cassius' hand, grabbing a hold of his ring finger nail and ripping it off. Sadly, it only ripped off halfway so he had to rip out the rest along with a good chunk of skin. His screams were deafening, yet I couldn't move my hands to my ears. All I could do was sit there and watch in horror as he moved to his mouth, ripping out one of his canine teeth and dropping it to the floor.
"You sick bastard," I screamed, glaring at him as he left. All I could think about as I was trying to sleep that night, was Cassius' pain filled face. What kind of insane asylum is this place?
