I yawned as I sat up in the bed, looking over and chuckling softly when I saw Luc's sleeping form. It had been two fucking years since my last chat with Cassius and I still had no idea who this 'Antitheus' guy was. I've been wanting to tell Luc about it, but since she wasn't able to see the douchebag of a ghost and I hadn't been able to come up with a suitable reason as to how I know that this man is after us, meaning I hadn't come up with a reason as to why we had to leave just yet. I got up, dressing in my usual dress before putting on my hat and humming softly as I walked outside, looking around quietly. We hadn't gotten a single person walking through these woods for about three months now, word must be getting out about all the 'disappearances.' It was just us, I don't understand why they call them disappearances anyway, it's obvious they were murdered."Come on, Isis! You have to do it, it was the dare," someone said in a teasing voice before it was followed by a soft voice saying,

"I know, I know." I smirked, climbing into a tree and pulling out one of my 'darts.' I looked down to see a young girl walking around, she had short, light blue hair with long pieces in the front along with cloudy grey eyes and pale skin. She wore a black belly shirt, shorts and boots with belts, dark red socks poking up above the top of the boots. She also had small golden bands wrapped around the long clumps of hair, a golden ring on the top of her shirt, a golden band around the top of her head, a golden bracelet on her forearms, and bandages on her arm and leg along with a small necklace. I raised an eyebrow and watched her closely before aiming and throwing the dart, watching it shoot right below her ribs. She let out a painful scream before falling over. I jumped down, standing in front of her before breaking the first string and watching her scream again. Once she had finished, I waved a little before saying,

"If I break this second string the shards that just came out and stabbed into your muscles will shoot out completely and embed themselves into your body, do you want that to happen." She shook her head as she backed away slowing before I added,"Then don't try anything stupid." I simply picked her up, throwing her over my shoulder before walking back to the house and calling,"Hare." Luc poked her head out, tilting her head to the side before smiling widely and skipping over as she asked,

"Aw, did my little snack bring me a big old breakfast?" My smirk grew as I nodded slightly and walked inside. I sat her on our bed before pulling down the ladder to the attic and climbing up with her on my back. I tied her up to the chair before turning to Luc and saying,

"She had some friends around, they might have heard her scream. I'll be right back." She nodded a little before saying,

"I'll watch her like a hawk."

"You're not a hawk, idiot," I stated, climbing down and laughing when I heard her say,

"Then I'll watch her like a fucking hare." I walked around outside, spotting a few people close to the edge of the woods. I quickly climbed up the tree and watched them closely as they spoke.

"Do you think this'll work," one asked, folding his arms over his chest while the other said,

"I have no fucking idea, but we really don't have a choice, now do we." He nodded a little, looking over at the girl as he muttered,

"I still can't believe we sent Isis in there like that, we were told they were dangerous as fuck."

"They're only dangerous because they're insane and unpredictable, that doesn't mean they're talented in fighting," the girl explained, narrowing her eyes as the guy said,

"But what if they are the ones behind all those disappearances in h-" he was cut off by the girl snapping,

"Look, Antitheus will fucking kill us if we interfere, just let her do her job and we can get this over with." I froze. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! I quickly hopped down, sprinting back to the house and bursting through the door before I yelled,

"Luc!?" Upon hearing no answer I ran up to the attic and looked around, seeing the bindings holding the girl there now torn and on the floor only with a passed out Luc. I growled and ran over, kneeling down next to her and shaking her slightly before hearing a familiar voice say,

"You're getting rusty, Maddie." I frowned deeply before muttering,

"Not now, Cassius. Not the best time for you to show up."

"Y'know, people will start to wonder about your sanity if you keep talking to the air like that," someone said, making me turn around only to be kicked in the gut and be thrown onto the floor. I looked up, watching the girl, who I assumed to be Isis walk up, sticking a hand in the wound with the dart in it and hitting the button before pulling it out as I asked,

"How did you....?"

"You should know by now that we've been watching you closely," she stated before stabbing into my throat with a syringe and injecting some shit into me. I groaned, my vision blurring before I eventually passed out.
