  Chapter 5: Broken Ones

This song is a little different than the others. It's a gospel song, but I think it applies, cause in the second verse it talks about a girl who is emotionally

Jades POV
I woke up to talking. Voices were apparently trying to stay quiet, but they were failing. "Please shut up. My head is pounding." I mumbled, opening my eyes. A face loomed over me, and it took me a second to focus. It was Louis.
"Hello." I said smiling a little. "Thanks for what you did. I never got to say that."
He just grinned and nodded. "No problem, love."
I took a deep breath, and sat up. My head protested, but I managed to prop myself up. I looked around the room and saw a surprising sight. Selena and Demi had joined the celebrity party.
My eyes teared up as I looked around all the worried faces. Some one really cared about me? But it wasn't just that one kind soul, a nice neighbor who looks at for you like in the books and movies. It was seven actual celebrities! Seven people who had impact on many people's lives, my own included.
"Thanks. I never got to say that yet. Thank you so much for caring." I sniffles and wiped my eyes, smiling.
"Our pleasure, sweet heart." Harry replied, and all the others nodded.
"I have only one question." I said seriously. They all leaned in a bit to hear what I'd say. "When can I get out of this stupid dress? It's a little airy." All of them laughed, relaxing. I was fine, and that seemed to make some one happy for once.
---the next day---
I walked out of the hospital wearing actual clothes, a goofy grin on my face. Louis was in a hoody and sun glasses, he walked by me holding my hand.
I was holding hands with Louis Tomlinson, and had been invited to Demi Lovato's tour of America. I was just walking in a daze. How the heck had I gotten so blessed in one day?
"I-I still can't believe it. I go from in the dumps, to recruit by celebrities! It took 18 years of wishing on every star in the stinking sky, but I got my wish! A better life, friends, people who actually care." I say, stepping into the waiting car. Liam was behind the wheel, and Niall in shot gun.
"Sure it takes a while sometimes, but things always get better. And yours got ALOT better." Louis said, grinning.
"No! Really?!" I asked sarcastically. He stuck his tongue out at me, and we both laughed.
The boys were taking me to my flat where I would meet up with Demi and Selena. There we'd head to the college and mess around with a few songs in the recording room.
"Um, can I have your number? All of yours?" I asked Louis, then Liam and Niall. I blushed slightly as they nodded.
Niall finished putting his number in just as we pulled up to my flat. We all jumped out, and I bolted to the front door. I couldn't wait to sing with actual celebrities.
I walked in to see Demi and Selena watching TV. They didn't notice us until I said, "Sup? Ready to sing a little?"
They both got up nodding, just as the other boys finally came in. "Took ya threw long enough. By the way, where are Zayne and Harry?"
"On Dates. Perrier back, and so is Zayne. They usually have a lot of a dates because of their crazy schedules." Liam answered. I nodded, and grabbed Louis's hand again.
"C'mon, pretty boy! Off to college with the lot of ya!" I said in my made up British accent.
Louis laughed, squeezing my hand. "Your accent is brilliant! Very nice, for an American." He said jokingly.
"For an American? What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, glaring back playfully.
"Oh you know what I mean." He said, gently shoving me into the car. I winced as I landed on my hand, causing the cuts to throb. I didn't let him see that though, because I didn't want to make him feel like he hurt me. I wasn't fragile, and I didn't want to be treated as such.
"I do, and I shall get you back!" I said crossing my arm, trying hide my ragged breathing, the throb hadn't gone away yet.
The car ride was full of squished fun. Demi, Selena, Louis and me had been forced in the back by Liam and Niall. So of course we decided to annoy then as much as possible, by singing Let it Go.
"Shut up!" Liam yelled, while Niall snickered.
"Never!" I yelled, smiling. I slowly raised the noise level.
"We're here! Get out! Before I go mad!" Liam yelled. We all tumbled out of the car laughing. I stood up and dusted myself off, waiting for the others.
"C'mon slow pokes! I wanna get a good recording booth!" I whined.
"We're comin! Calm yourself down." Selena smiled.
I grabbed Louis's hand and dragged every one off to college.
I stuck my head into the first one I came to. It was empty, so I pulled Louis in. "This work?"
"Perfect!" He said, running to the controls. "The others went on a detour to explore, so let's do a test run. What do you want to sing?"
"I don't know, maybe change it up. I'm thinking, just for practice, singing a gospel song I heard once. It's called the Broken Ones." I said, looking down and blushing. "It's, um, about someone actually caring for us misfits."
"Ok, it sounds perfect. Begin whenever you're ready." Louis said with an encouraging smile.
I nodded, and closed my eyes. I was once again alone, doing this for pleasure. I opened them again, and smiled. I began to sing.
