Chapter 10: All About That Bass/ Really Don't Care
Hey roses! I got a bit of free time so I'm updating early. This chapter is dedicated to Little Miss Broken, because she always comments. Anyways, here is chapter 10.
Melodie's POV
I woke up to hear snoring. I rolled over to see who it was and discovered that there were actually five culprits. The boys were all laying in a big long line, with their mouths hanging open, and snoring loudly. I noticed the other girls were rolling over trying to sleep, but there was no sleeping through the five boys. Suddenly an idea popped into my head. We were going to prank the boys. I shook Demi first since she was the most awake. I whispered my plan in her ear and she jumped up and ran to get supplies. I quickly worked my way around to each of the girls, and then went to gather my own prank supplies. We were all going to prank our specific boy. I had Harry, Jade had Louis, Demi had Niall, Selena had Liam, and Perrie had Zayn. I grabbed a hair straightener, colourful sharpies, whipped cream, shaving cream, and ice cream. First I straightened his curls, then I drew all over his body with colourful and neon sharpies. I wrote random things like "I like cats" or "The Wanted is amazing and better than One Direction". I then put shaving cream in his hand and covered it with whip cream. My goal was for him to lick the whip cream and "accidently" eat the shaving cream I couldn't wait to see the look on his face when he tastes the shaving cream. I looked to see that the other girl were ready to wake up the boys too. Zayn had rainbow hair, with clown makeup. Liam was surrounded by spoons and was covered in shaving cream. Niall had spaghetti sauce smeared all over his face and down his shirt, and had celery in his hair. Louis was turned into a purple smurf. Jade had colored all available skin purple. He had a big sign on his back that banned carrots. We all had different ways of waking the boys up. Jade was going to use and air horn, Perrie was using an ice cube, Demi had a squirt gun, Selena had an IPod on a portable speaker, and I had ice cream. I silently counted down from three and we attacked. Jade blasted Louis' eardrums out with the air horn, Perrie put ice cubes down Zayn's shirt, Demi blasted Niall with the squirt gun, Selena blasted the song Who Let the Dogs Out in Liam's ear, and I dumped a carton of ice cream down Harry's pants. The boys all jumped up screaming. The girls and I hightailed it out of there. We sprinted out to the driveway and jumped in my car. I had grabbed my wallet and keys on the way out. I backed out of the driveway and started driving towards my flat.
"Where are we going," Selena asked, once they had calmed down from their laughing fit.
"My flat, since the boys don't know where it is," I told them.
They all agreed that it was a good idea. Once we got to my flat, we plopped down on the couch and started a movie. Ten minutes later our phones started blowing up with texts, emails, calls, Twitter and Instagram notifications, and Facebook messages. We looked and they were all from the boys. They wanted to know where we were. I told them that we were at my flat. Then they asked where that was, but I wasn't telling them. I told them that we were having a girl's day and that we would meet them for a nice dinner tonight.
"Hey girls. We are going shopping to get dresses for tonight," I announced.
"What's tonight," asked Perrie.
"We are going out to a nice dinner, and we need to dress up. Which is the perfect excuse to go shopping. It's our girl's day," I explained.
"Can we get our hair done too," asked Selena.
"And a manicure and pedicure," added Jade.
"And a massage," piped in Demi.
"Yup we can do all of that. Let's go now," I said.
We all filed out to my car and headed to the mall.
At the mall, we all scoured the different stores for a perfect outfit. Finally, we all found the perfect one. Selena chose a short bright green dress with a white lace belt of bows. She wore a pair of white knee high boots with it. Perrie chose a red dress with a black lace neckline. She added black pumps to complete the look. Demi found a dark blue lace dress, with cosmic pumps. Jade bought a purple ruffle dress. She matched it with purple sparkly pumps. I picked a cream-colored floral dress, with a black belt and neckline. I added black flats with an ankle strap. [A/N: Here is a link to see all of their outfits.
After buying our outfits, we went to the spa and salon. We all got a massage; a manicure, a pedicure, and our hair and makeup up done for tonight. We headed back to my flat and changed into our outfits. Once we were ready we drove to the boys flat, they were renting a limo to take us out. At the boys flat, Liam answered the door. We walked in and all of their jaws dropped. They just stood there with their mouths hanging open.
"Better close your mouths before you catch flies," quipped Jade. She always was a smart alec. Just like Louis.
The boys quickly straightened up. We headed downstairs to the limo. Without realizing it, we had paired off. We got in the limo and headed to the restaurant. At the restaurant Louis told the host that we had reservations under Tomlinson. She led us to a large table in the back. We all sat down and looked at our menus. Once we had ordered, we started talking. Somehow, Louis and Liam got into an argument over who was better, Batman or Superman. Jade of course took Louis' side, and Selena took Liam's. After a while, we all got bored.
"Who wants to have some fun," whispered Demi.
"What kind of fun," asked Harry.
"Truth or Dare," suggested Perrie.
"In a restaurant," asked Zayn cautiously.
"Yeah, it'll be fun," I put in.
"I'll go first," exclaimed Niall.
"Louis, truth or dare?"
"Truth," Louis answered.
"Have you and Jade kissed yet," he asked.
Jade and Louis both blushed and shook their heads no.
"Zayn truth or dare," asked Louis.
"Truth," he replied. He was too chicken to do a dare in a restaurant.
"Are you and Perrie going to get married someday," Louis asked.
Zayn looks at Perrie and then responds, "Hopefully someday yes."
"Melodie truth or dare," he asks me.
"Dare," I state simply.
"I dare you to stand up and start singing All About That Bass as loud as you can," he said smirking.
He didn't think I would do it, but he had another thing coming for him. I stood up on my chair, thankful I had worn flats, and started singing All About That Bass as loud as I could without going off key. The other four girls stood up and started singing with me. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at us, but we really didn't care.
"Let's sing Really Don't Care while we're at it," I suggested.
"Let's do it," agreed Selena.
"I'll do Cher's part," said Perrie.
We all started singing. At the end of the song, the manager was standing by our table glaring at us.
"Excuse me but you are disrupting the other customers," he stated.
"All we were doing was entertaining them," Jade shot back sassily.
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave please," he said.
The boys stood up and helped us climb off our chairs. Then we all walked out of the restaurant to our limo. We decided to go get burger, since we never got our food. We got some strange looks at the burger place, since we were dressed up all fancy. We really didn't care though. After eating, we went back to the boys flat and had another movie marathon.
