Chapter Eighteen: The Devil Sorrow Part I

"I'm going to get William and Victoria" Pedro shouted for Lora who was far in the dining room

"Ok honey, take care" she shouted back to him

Pedro opened the door tending to go out but he was surprised when he saw William and Victoria in front of him

"You came?!" he said in surprised tone and his brows went up

"Yeah, we save you the troubles" William said with odd tone while turning his head back looking in everywhere as he was afraid that someone was following them

Pedro noticed his behavior and stepped away from the door "Come on in" and gestured for them to enter and they did

Pedro looked outside after they entered and closed the door

Lora came out the dining room "You're here?!" she was surprised too and walked to Victoria and hugged her "How are you?" Lora asked with worried sound

"I'm okay" she said and pulled away from her, she stared at her husband with dismal eyes and returned her eyes again at Lora and smiled faintly

Lora and Pedro noticed that there was something wrong happening "Come with me" Lora said and put her hand on Victoria's back and guided her to the dining room

Frustration was the remarkable expression on William's many expressions in that moment

Pedro sighed "What happened between you two?" he asked him directly

"Nothing particularly" William just said that "I have something more important now" he said and went to the Pedro's office

Pedro knitted his brows and followed him, he shut the door after they both entered the office

William moved to a table filled with many drinks, he grabbed a glass and turned to Pedro "Want some" he said while gesturing with the glass

"I'll pass" he answered and sat at the couch in front or his desk

William poured some wine for him and sat at the couch in front of Pedro

He took a sip of the wine and started to talk "An officer came this morning to my house" he said that and stopped

"What?!" Pedro in surprised and confused tone in his rough voice

William nodded with indifference and took another sip from his wine

"What did he want from you?" Pedro asked to push him to speak up

"He asked many questions about Diana and where she is" he said with his pervious tone

"Does he know..." he asked hesitantly

"No, I think he was just wondering why didn't Paul's girlfriend showed up when he was about to be killed and he have the all right to think that" he said and took another sip

Pedro frowned and looked at him confusingly "So he didn't know about her abduction?" he asked to make sure

"No, I told him that she traveled to her aunt in England for a few days"

"That's good" Pedro said and sighed in relief

"Just for a few days" he said with weird sound that wasn't like William in yesterday

He took the last sip of his wine and finished it; he stood up again and went to the table to pour more wine

"What do you mean?" Pedro asked unsurely

"He will come back again and asks about her and then I will have no choice but to tell him and that will puts Diana's live in danger" he said gloomy while walking to the couch and sat there again
