Seeing ashton in front of me with officer reynolds is such a coincidence. I have to hold back giving ashton a look as he holds out his hand for me to shake. I shake it firmly. "Nice to meet you sir." He smiles. "The pleasure is all mine." I clear my throat. "Well would you like to sit down so we can discuss the case of my missing mother?" I say motioning to my table. "Well actually we think we have a lead on your mom up at one of the Hampton motels in Chicago so were gonna send officer Michael's out there to check that out. I nod feeling a bit relieved as i take a long sip of my 'tay'. "Okay i need to go with because i know what she looks like. And who's going with me?" The questions shoot out of my mouth without my wanting. "Woah slow down there" officer reynolds jokes as Ashton stays stiff watching me. "Well we will send my partner the only one i trust" he pats Ashton's back affectionately. "Mhm.. Okay i'm fine with that" he nods and hands me my moms file. "Why don't you look take a look at those and i will see you and Ashton set off nicely on Thursday." Ashton lets out a breath of relief. "On Thursday but that's in two days!?" Officer reynolds nods. "Best to get there as soon as possible" i nod "okay i'll pack tomorrow and i will also look over this tonite. Actually lets go tomorrow because i want to waste no chance i might have to see her." Officer reynolds nods. "Sure what time tomorrow?" Ashton asks agreeing quickly. "4:00 am i answer quickly." "Sure i'll be here by three." I nod and send them out.

Later that night i am pouring all my patience And time looking over moms folder realizing she's been longer then anyone even realizes. I grab my phone calling officer reynolds knowin he'd be up at 12:50 am. He answers on the first ring. "Hullo?" I clear my throat. "Well um officer reynolds do you think you could send me Ashton's number?" Without hesitating he sprouts it off. "Thanks" i hang up and put Ashton's number in my phone. Pushing the 'call' button. He answers on the first ring sounding wide awake. "Hey Ashton do you think you could come over here?" "Yeah sure. I'll be over there with my stuff for tomorrow here in five." I nod. Then i realize that i nodded while i was on the phone so i say "sounds good."

A good thirty minutes later Ashton knocks on my door. I saunter over there opening the door to let him in. "Okay what's up?" He asks as soon as he's in. "Okay come i have a question" i saunter to the kitchen Ashton close behind me. Once we are at the table i open up the file and start explaining what i think. "Okay you see this?" I point to where it says November first, 2016 Anna anderson was said to be going on a trip to California. He nods "yeah what about it. I sigh "i talked to her that day, she wasn't on a trip, she was in like Michigan or something in the hamptons hotel." He nods rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "So you're saying?" I rub the back of my neck. "So i am saying she ran away that day, so really she's been missing for what. "Four months now?" He nods thoughtfully "yeah i suppose so." I nod "but get this, she's always said that she wanted to go to California in a march to see if the weather was still hot" he raises a confused eyebrow in my direction. I point to the papers. "What month is it now?" Suddenly he gets this look on his face that shows he gets it. "March!" I nod "so we aren't going to Chicago we are heading for California. "Wow okay when?" I roll my eyes "now dumbass"
