'You're getting good at this sneaking in during the night thing, I didn't even realise you were here.' I heard her say just as I was waking up.

'Yeah.' I agreed quietly trying to ignore my throbbing head.

'I didn't think you were going to come, I tried to ring you.' She sighed, moving next to me. I kept my eyes shut tightly.

'My meeting ran over and my phone died.' I told her. It wasn't a lie but wasn't exactly true as my overran meeting was more like drinks and sex with my ex.

'Well, I've got you all to myself today, right?' She breathed, moving closer to me and wrapping an arm around her waist.

'No, oh shit.' I said, sitting straight up in bed.

'What?'

'I've got a day in the life interview for a massive magazine.' I suddenly remembered.

As if things didn't need to be anymore awkward and complicated, I completely forgot that I would be spending the day with Maddy. She had my phone number but not my address so missing it was an option but I don't think Gleam would ever forgive me, let alone if I'd have a management after missing such a big opportunity.

I let her go too easy before, I can't do it again.

'You can't leave me yet.' She whinged as I climbed out of bed.

'I've got somewhere to be.' I said firmly, pulling on yesterday's clothes.

'What's up with you?' She challenged in a snarky tone, something I didn't want to hear right now.

'Nothing, Beth. I just have somewhere to be.'

'Well, are you coming over tonight?'

'Yeah, maybe. We'll see.' I said, looking at myself in the mirror attempting to look presentable.

'Are you sure everything is alright.'

'Positive.' I lied.

'I just need to go meet this journalist, it's a big deal.' I told her, putting my bag around me and leaving the room.

'Do I not get a kiss?' She whinged after me which I pretended not to hear and left.

I didn't know where to start so I got a taxi to her hotel, hoping she'd still be there. I should of got her phone number but then again, that would of probably been a bad idea. I don't think I would be able to stop myself calling after the article was done and she was back home.

I don't know how I remembered the way to her room, but I did. I knocked loudly and it was just seconds before I was faced with a stressed looking Maddy.

'You left?' She said as soon as she opened the door.

Yes, I left and I'm not the only one out of us who did, I wanted to say.

Hi guys!

Firstly, thank you SO much for reading. We're already past 1.3K reads, I can't believe it!

I'm sorry for my crappy updates, I have been so busy and it's so hard to find time to write but thank you for the support and lovely comments, they really do make my day.

I'm under a lot of stress at the moment with deadlines and exams so I'm just trying to write bits every now and then when I can.

This chapter wasn't the longest but I just wanted to get it up!
