Appearance: In many ways, Val is plain and ordinary looking. Her hair is dark brown, coming just past her shoulders and stuck in that area between straight and wavy. Her eyes are a dark green, but their hue changes with her mood. She's of average height, with a slim figure that she accentuates with form fitting clothes and her signature leather jacket.

Personality: Val is free spirited and wild, with a mouth that often gets her into trouble. She's spontaneous, often going with her gut or on a whim. Val flirts with everyone, no matter age or gender, the action as natural as breathing to her. Despite this, she makes very few real connections to people. She's self-confident in both her intelligence and looks, and isn't afraid to do what others might consider embarrassing.

Background: Val grew up as the only girl in a house full of boys. Her mother died in a mugging when she was two, and Val remembers nothing about her. She often listens to her father and brothers tell stories, but she dislikes hearing them. After the loss of his wife, Val's father grew extremely protective of her. He started homeschooling her in an attempt to make sure that he knew where she was at all times, as well as forcing her to take self-defense classes from a young age.

As a result, Val often felt stifled as she grew older, and as soon as she turned 18, she moved out of her dad's house to explore the world on her own. For a little while, she lived with her brother, Xander, but soon left once she realized Xander was a drug addict. Val had nowhere to go after her brother, but she was able to get a loan on a cheap house, which she rarely stays in. Instead, she spends most of her time working or visiting friends and family.

Motivation: She wants to pay off her loans and help get Xander into a rehab center.
