Lydia was sprawled out on Stiles bed, groaning.
Now before you think anything weird, no. Nothing happened between them. They were as friendly as friends could be, and were studying like they normally do on a Thursday night. It was a tradition, something they kept going even through all the days of crazy supernatural happenings.
"I. Do. Not. Want. To. Study." She said, her eyes closed. Stiles sighed as he sat at her desk, staring at the text book pages and flipping through a few of them.
"I don't either. But we've missed too much school, and if we get a bad grade on this, we're screwed." He said. Lydia laughed softly.
"I don't need to study. I do fine without studying-"
"When you know the material, you do fine without studying. And you normally know the material, however, this is something-"
"I know the material. I'll be fine I swear." She said, sitting up and staring at him.
Stiles glanced up from the book and nodded before sitting back in the chair.
"Okay, what is the material? What's the test on?" Stiles asked.
Lydia blinked and pursed her lips.
"Uhm..."
"Shakespeare. It's on Shakespeare, someone who you refuse to familiarize yourself with-"
"Because Shakespeare is overrated and not good I've already said that." Lydia said, rolling her eyes.
Stiles huffed and stared back at the book, and Lydia knit her eyebrows together before pushing closer to the edge of the bed and staring at Stiles.
"Are you okay?... I mean, you normally wouldn't care about any of this. It seems like you're kinda... Stressed. I thought we agreed these study sessions would be a stress free zone?" Lydia said, smiling softly at Stiles.
Stiles sighed shaking his head before rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's just... Nothing bad has happened. For months." Stiles said. Lydia nodded.
"And you're worried that something horrible is about to happen." Lydia said, not asking it as a question, but saying it more as a statement. She knew what he was thinking.
"Yeah." Stiles said, leaning back in the desk chair.
Lydia pursed her lips, sighed and then shrugged.
"We can't do much about it until something happens. We just have to enjoy the peace while it lasts. And I don't think the peace involves studying." She said. Stiles nodded, his vision going to the floor before looking back at her.
"Let's just go hang out with the rest of the pack or something. It'll be a nice go get our mind off of things. And then we'll have to study later so that we don't fail any classes." Stiles said.
They both stood up and started walking out of Stiles' room, but Lydia stopped before they could make it to the door.
"I forgot my bag." She said, walking over to the set off drawers Stiles had in his room with a mirror sitting on top.
She grabbed her purse, but before she could walk away, something on the mirror caught her attention. There were pictures, taped to the edges of the mirror.
"Stiles... What're these?..." Lydia said, looking at them, utterly confused.
Stiles walked over and stood near her, looking at the pictures before realizing what was so odd about them.
