Stiles had never felt better in his life. It had been a few months since the moment Stiles had Veronica at her party, and he'd been living the life ever since. Everything seemed to be going his way for once, all of the supernatural problems had come to a halt, he had amazing supportive friends, and a girl that he was almost certain he was getting pretty serious with.
He had forgotten about all of the problems with Allison because Veronica really did take up a big part of his life, but he never really seemed to notice. He went up to Veronica's locker and she smiled when she saw him.
"Hey, hows your day been?" He asked her. She shrugged. "Kinda terrible. A someone in my gov class..." Veronica continued to talk, but Stiles found himself distracted. He saw Lydia down the hall stepping out of the janitors locker with someone that Stiles definitely did not recognize.
"Hello? Are you even listening to me?" He heard Veronica say, snapping him out of his trance-like state. He looked at her and nodded
"Yeah, of course I did! It was super interesting." He said. Veronica turned her head to look at Lydia down the hallway.
"Oh, I see. You're looking at the school slut again." She said laughing. Stiles looked at her with narrowed eyes, sighing.
"She's not the school slut. And I wasn't staring at her, I just zoned out I'm sorry." Stiles said. Veronica shrugged.
"Oh it's fine. But just remember, we're not actually dating so if you don't keep my attention, I might decide to not be faithful." She said, slamming her locker and walking away.
Ok so maybe he wasn't actually living the life. It wasn't the first time this had happened to him, the whole "were not actually dating" line seemed to be Veronica's favorite phrase as of late. But he was pretty close to living the life...
Lydia started to walk down the hall in Stiles' direction. She had just finished with her daily distracting ritual. She had been having these rituals ever since Veronica had started to take up all of Stiles' time and barely let him hang out with her. Lydia had decided that there was no correlation between these two events, but to everyone else in her friend group, it seemed pretty obvious why she suddenly needed a distraction.
As she walked in Stiles' direction, he walked along side her down the hall.
"Hey Lyds." She widened her eyes, directing her attention to Stiles. "Oh wow, you're talking to me? Your girlfriends actually allowing you to talk to the school whore?" She said sarcastically. Stiles sighed, pursing his lips."We're not dating, she's made that very clear... And you know you're not the school whore, no one thinks you are." Stiles said, reassuringly. Lydia stifled our a dry laugh.
"I guess Veronica is no one then, since she's publicly called me a whore to my face and also since she thinks I try to steal you away from her daily." Lydia said bitterly, not looking at Stiles.
Stiles paused for a moment and sighed, grabbing Lydia by the shoulder and stopping her.
"Look, I know the two of you don't like each other. But can you please just try to be nice to her? She's really important to me, and so are you so it would mean a lot to me." Stiles said, looking at Lydia. Lydia paused, trying not to look Stiles in the eye, but eventually cracking and doing so. She sighed and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah sure." She said before rubbing the back of her neck and pulling herself from Stiles' hold, starting to walk away. Stiles smiled and leaned against the locker closest to him. "See ya later Lyds." He said, walking in the other direction. Lydia shook her head, holding her books tighter to her chest.
"I doubt you will."
