Albus' POV
"The champions are..." he paused and everyone did a drumroll. Millions of questions ran through my head. What if I get picked? What of James or Lily gets picked? What if they die? What of one of my friends dies? "Albus Potter!" Everyone cheered, and I was shocked. Me?! Of all people, me?! "Come on, up here," he said to me. Thomas pushed me up, his head in the clouds. I walked up nervously, shaking. "No need to be worried, come on." I could kill him now, his voice was awful, and he did an ugly smile. Ugh. "Go through that door," he whispered in my ear. Pointing towards a door in the corner, I saw the door and walked towards it. I saw the pretty blonde girl from Beauxbatons talking to a brunette girl. I walked through the door and sat down on a sofa. And waited.

Rose's POV
OMG! Albus was chosen! I don't know what I'll do if he's hurt, he's my cousin after all. I stopped worrying and looked at Lockheart, he was about to announce the next champion. "The Beauxbatons champion is..." again he paused, and everyone did a drumroll, which I joined in. "Shruti!" A huge cheer erupted from everyone, and a girl with long brunette hair walked up from the group of Beauxbaton girls. She was incredibly thin; she flashed a smile at Lockheart and walked through the door that Albus had gone through. Time for the next champion.
"The final champion, from Durmstrang, is..." he paused yet again for dramatic effect. Damn you dramatic effect. "Louis Tomlinson!" Another cheer filled the room for the last time as a boy with brown hair and grey-blue eyes got up, shook hands with Lockheart and walked through the door. He was wearing a huge smile...someone's happy. He looked nice, and I guess I could try to make friends with him, I automatically liked him. Not like that, as a friend.

Albus' POV
I waited for the other champions to walk in. I heard a cheer from outside and assumed that the next champion had been called. I waited for a few more seconds and she walked in. She looked like was in a daze and walked gently with delicate footsteps towards me and sat down on a chair in front the fire, just watching the flickering flames. Strange, but...okay.
We both waited in silence for the third champion to walk in. And soon enough, the last cheer echoed through the door. And it opened to reveal a very proud looking boy from Durmstrang. He looked around, taking in the ancient looking surroundings. He looked over at the Beauxbaton girl watching the fire, and then at me. Deciding that I looked a bit more sociable, he came up to me, "Hi!" he said brightly.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked politely.
"Oh, I'm Louis, Louis Tomlinson. And you must be...Albus?"
"Yep," I replied, popping the p. "You seem excited." I stated.
"I am. I've always wanted to be in the tournament, I thought that they would never do it again, but I guess I was wrong. You don't seem very excited."
"I am, I'm just worried, and what if I die?"
"They have safety measures, better than last time."
"I know, but it's still dangerous without an evil maniac that wants to rule the world." You know if you think about it that is Voldemort plan simplified.
He laughed, "Yeah, I guess you're right. Do you know anything about her?" he whispered, gesturing at the girl the fire, hoping she wouldn't hear.
The girl turned around to face us. "I can hear you, and I'm sorry, but I'm being normal. The last time this happened, people died, people got horrific injuries. Not to mention your dad." She said, looking directly at me. "He was incredibly brave and without him, I doubt there would even be a Hogwarts or any muggles left." Huh? This girl must be crazy; dad can't have saved the world. If he did he'd have told me. Right?
"Okay...so what's your name?" I asked, I wonder how many times I'll ask that.
"I'm Shruti, and you are..." she said looking over at...Louis?
"I'm Louis, nice to meet you," he said. He's incredibly nice, and just has a great personality. He held out his hand. She hesitated, but smiled and shook it. The door was then opened by Mr Lockheart who was closely followed by the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang head teachers and Professor McGonagall.
"Hello champions! Why aren't you picturesque?" Hello to you too Mr Long-word-man. "Okay...as you know, now that you are chosen, you can't back out, and goodnight!" Oh...ok...yes! Finally, freedom!
I got to my dorm to be met by an unusual sight. Tom was lying in his bed distraught; he did this increasingly often now. And he looked worse today, I need to know what's up with him. Never in the 5 years I've known him has he ever been like this. "Tom, what's happening? Why are you acting like this?"
"I...I errr..." he stuttered.
"I won't tell anyone."
"Promise?"
"I swear."
It's the tournament." he replied, simply.
"You're not even in it!"
"I know, but what if something happens? Like last time?"
"If my dad let me enter, I think that it should be okay."
"But I think your dad was wrong."
"Huh?"
"He may see it from a different point of view, but I think you shouldn't have entered."
"Why?"
"People die in this tournament, in this race for eternal glory. But it's stupid, its people wrecking others' lives because there's nothing in their own."
"Look, you're not telling me why you're like this, just spit it out and stop stalling."
"Fine," he huffed, "it you must know, then fine. You know nothing about my family, do you? My uncle was..." he gulped "Cedric Diggory."
"What?!" I said, dumbfounded. "You're uncle...the tournament...d-d-died" I whispered the last part.
"Yes, now go." he said flatly, concealing his emotions easily in the voice. I left the room, feeling more confused than ever.

Shruti's POV
I left towards the carriage; walking quickly and the tears of utter confusion that I had managed to hold back blurred my vision, I walked into someone. I was thrown backwards pretty hard, and tensed anticipating the crash, but instead I was caught and I heard someone say something, but was too busy in my thoughts to hear what they said, so I ran off, only glancing at the person who caught me. He had brown eyes, and messy jet black hair.
I got back and went straight to bed, a bit early I know, but I had a lot to think about. I lay on my bed, in shorts and a tank top. I may be from Beauxbatons, but I still have a life outside the posh dress I wear every day. I hear the door to my dorm creak open. I stayed here with my three best friends. Sienna was a blonde girl with blue eyes that sparkled with life. Simran had long chestnut brown that reached past the middle of her back; and Emma. She was in her sixth year, though, me and Sienna were in seventh year.
Sienna spoke first, "Shruti, are you alright?" I nodded, not wanting them to worry, but Simran just shot me look saying 'we're not stupid, we know something's up so spill.'
"Well one, I'm absolutely terrified of the tournament now, what if I die? Or get hurt?"
"We'll be with you all the time if we can, and we'll help prepare." said Simran, sympathy on her face.
"And two, what if I like a boy here..." I mumbled quietly. But they obviously heard, because their eyes widened.
"You like someone from Hogwarts?!" said/shouted Sienna. I nodded. "Ok, just try not to get hurt." I smiled, glad that they weren't mad, and don't think that I was fraternising with enemy. I embraced them in a hug and fell to a peaceful sleep.
