My mind kept going back to the day at school that I fainted.

That was quite embarrassing if I do say so myself.

Since mom and I figured out what caused my fainting trip mom has not let me go to school for the past few days despite me telling her everything would be fine.

He couldn't hurt me in public.

*Flashback*

"Mom...he's back." I said with a lot of fear in my voice. I tried not to show it. But it came out anyways.

My moms eyes widened but you could tell she had already had that thought in her head. I figured she did. It's the same scenario as before.

It would only be a matter of time before he came after me.

I hope he didn't see me with Ashor. No matter how much I hated him, I didn't want him to be hurt for some reason. Which pissed me off. But I guess I was finally starting to get used to the idea of my wolf being in love with him. I thought she was crazy but that's just me.

My heart tugged as I thought about it. Stupid heart.

I had a crushing feeling, what if he had seen me and Ashor together at school the day I fainted.

Ashor had carried me home.

Oh no. Oh no no no. Fuck. I had to get a hold of Ashor and warn him somehow.

I grabbed my cell phone scrolling through my contacts list and clicked on Ever's number and pressed send, hopefully she would know his number, or at least his address.

"Pick up pick up pick up PLEASE pick up pi--HI! It's Kai!" I said sounding way to enthusiastic, she's gonna no somethings up. Damn me and my stupid ways of dealing with immensely stressful situations.

"Hi.......what's up?" she said sounding a little taken aback by my enthusiasm, gah stupid stupid, stupid me! I thought to myself closing my eyes from my stupidity.

"Nothing....just calling to talk to you..."I trailed off. Yeah she's definitely is gonna know somethings up. 

I hate myself.

I hate phones. 

I hate Ashor.

I hate Luke....just cuz.

"Uh huh.....and I'm the Easter bunny. What gives? Is Miss Bitchy Britches giving you hell again, cause I can go and give her another black eye if need be." she said completely serious.

I laughed out loud, which probably sounded bad to my mom, giving the circumstances. Oh well.

"Nah, I needed to ask you something." I said trying to get up the nerve to actually ask her.

"Yessum, and what would that be?" she said with a fake british accent that cracked me up. But I had to get serious.

"Um...well.....erm..." I said awkwardly. What the heck is wrong with me. I'm never awkward. It might be the fact that shes gonna think I'm an effing fruit loop after I ask her this.

Well here goes nothing.

"Doyouhaveashorsnumberoraddress?" I said so fast it sounded all jumbled. Hopefully she understood what I said.

She was quiet for a while and didn't say anything to the point I thought she had hung up on me.

"Ever...? You there..." I said slowly and cautiously.

"Yes....what did you just say? Cause I think an alien completely abducted Kai and gave her brain to someone else. Why the hell do you need his number?" she said incredulously.

I sighed heavily.

"I just need it, its important...and a long story that I can't really go into right now." I said regretting that I couldn't tell her. I don't know why though,  I have only known her a short time. But she is my only friend here. That might be why.

While I was pondering she was talking apparently I had caught the end of it.

"He's and ass!" she had said which was the last part I had caught.

"I know he is but I still need either his number or address. Either way, do you know either of them?" I asked hopefully. I didn't feel like having to scower the entire phone book.

"Yeah I have it......" She gave me the number, reluctantly, and I had told her I would try and explain at school. Even though I knew I couldn't. We hung up the phone.

She had given me his address. So I guess that means I have to go to his house.

Ugh, I really don't want to have to go there.

He's gonna get the wrong idea, but I have to warn him and tell him to be careful...because of him, he's back, he's dangerous. I had to go now and warn Ashor.

I went out to the kitchen and pit on my most awesome puppy eyed face I could muster up under the circumstances and walked up to my mother and stood there until she looked at me.

"Kai....don't make that face....what do you want?" she said cautiously, she knew I was up to something.

"Can I borrow your car...pretty please?" I said sweetly. Bleh. Sweet makes my head hurt. Oh well, I'll get over it.

"Why?" she deadpanned. Shit.

"Um.....um...well...um..." I couldn't say the words, I was completely tongue tied. Stupid tongue.

"Well?" she said looking at me with a straight face both stern and sad at the same time.

"I need to go see Ashor." I said sighing heavily as I said it.

"Why?" my mother said sounding shocked.

"He needs to know." I said just giving up on trying to hide it from her. She doesn't deserve me lying to her, especially with what we're going to be going through soon. With him here.

"Why would he have to know?" She said looking at me confused.

"Because he could have been watching while I was in school, when I fainted and when Ashor carried me. He will go after Ashor. you know that." I said seriously.

"Oh...I didn't think about that. I will go with you, I don't want you going alone." she said getting ready to grab her coat and keys.

"No mom, I'll go alone. I'll take my cell phone and everything, it'll be okay." I said sternly.

"No. Your not going alone with him here." she said angrily.

"I'll be fine I have to do this by myself, it's already weird with me going over there. But if I go with my mom it'll be even weirder. I'm not a baby mom. Plus I have these new wolfy super powers, I will be fine." I said looking at her daring her to contradict me. She didn't.

Mom handed me the keys told me to be careful hugged me and told me to call her when I got there and when I left.

I donned my coat and went to the car and started driving.



When I arrived at Ashor's house I called mom and told her everything was okay. 

I walked up to Ashor's door taking deep breaths trying to talk myself into actually knocking on the door.

It wasn't working well.

I didn't wanna talk to that colossal asshole.

And he's just gonna be oh so smug about me coming here to see him.

I knocked on the door three times.

Gah,  I don't even wanna see his smug face, I might just have to disfigure it a little, my wolf growled. I smirked inwardly at her.

I really really really don't wanna see him right now im in a bad mood about everything.

I can't even believe hes back...didn't he have enough last time.

Gah Kai focus. You gotta get through telling the douche bag. Warning him.

Why do I even have to warn him. He's such a dick.
