The next day I woke up in the hospital with Luke and Jai tapping away at their phones beside me. "What the fuck happened? I feel like I have multiple brain freezes right now," I groaned as I sat up on the little hospital bed and rubbed my eyes.

"Remember last night when you jumped on Carter and he threw you?" Jai questioned.

"Oh yeah, but that doesn't explain why my head hurts so much," I continued to rub my head now.

"Doctor said you might have a slight concussion which explains why you feel like you've been hit by a bus, but they said we can leave once you wake up," Luke stated. "You ready or do you want to wake up a bit first?" He added in.

"Nope. Let's get out of here."

As we drove home I was staring aimlessly out the window when it dawned on me, tonight is the dance and I don't have a dress to wear. As soon as we got home I grabbed my mom, explained to her the situation, and before I knew it we were back on the road. Usually I would have just gone by myself, but the doctors suggested that I take a break from driving until I felt better, plus if my mom comes I don't have to pay.

After a five minute car ride, we arrived at the best and only dress store in all of Hudson called Little Miss Boutique. When we walked inside there were dresses as far as the eye could see; long, short, dressy, casual, sparkly, floral, everything and anything you can imagine. I searched around for about 20 minutes until I saw the perfect dress. It was a simple yet sexy dark red short dress that had a sweetheart neckline and flowed out at the bottom. It was absolutely beautiful and it would look perfect when matched with the earrings Luke got me. When I tried the dress on it hugged me in all the right places and I knew it was the one. Along with the dress I also purchased some black heels that had red on the bottom of the shoe to match the dress.

The next stop was the hairstylist. I sat down in the comfy black chair and explained that I wanted my hair to be done up in a Cinderella type bun and they did exactly that. After about an hour and a half of trying to sit still they had finished my hair and I honestly felt like I was about to enter the ball.

Last but not least I had to go get my makeup done. My mom is close friends with Sarah, one of the best makeup artist I know. She agreed to do it for this special night with no charge. I showed Sarah my dress and she was already pulling out different shades of eye shadows and blush. I sat in the chair and she first applied some foundation that matched my skin colour perfectly. Next she added some light pink blush and red lipstick to really make my lips pop. On my eyes she started with a darker grey and then covered it with a shimmer of grey sparkles. She then added some eyeliner, finishing it off with some mascara. Before we headed out I changed into the whole outfit in the bathroom considering by the time we would get home, I would have to leave. I walked out into the salon and both my mom and Sarah placed their hands over their mouths and gasped.

"Honey you look gorgeous!" My mom squealed and Sarah agreed.

        "Thank you," I smiled.

"Oh, I have one finally touch to add," Sarah exclaimed, before running off to the back room. We waited for couple seconds before she scurried back with a little black box.

I opened it up and there lying inside was a necklace with with a crystal horseshoe for good luck. "It's beautiful, thank you!" I smiled as she returned a toothy grin and gave me a hug.

"Oh no problem, it never really suited me, but you on the other hand. It's perfect," she explained.

"Well, thank you, Sarah but we really have to go or you will be late," my mom said and pointed to me as I put the necklace on. We thanked Sarah once more and headed back to the house.
