"Good morning," Rick smiled as Emilia entered Manning Corp. She smiled back, unable to stop the happiness pour from her body.

Rick was a nurse for Manning Corp., specifically working with human testing operations, and he had been present the night before with Emilia's experiment. They all went out for drinks together afterward, but the two stayed out a little later. Emilia couldn't help herself, his blue eyes called for her affection, and as the night went on  the louder they called. Sure he was handsome, and maybe she was just seeking attention, as she had not forgotten about Dr. Loren from a couple nights ago, but she needed the break.

She tried her best to get him to go back to her apartment with her, but she was drunk and he wasn't as hammered, he still had some sense. He walked her home though, and they made out outside of her building for what had to be at least ten minutes. She craved his body, not caring if she had never talked to him before, it felt right as her hands ran through his short brown hair.

He followed her to her office, leaning against the door frame as she sat at her desk, not looking back at him. "We should go out again, and talk without having five shots in our systems."

Emilia bit the inside of her cheek. When she was drunk, everything was fine, she liked the man, but it felt wrong. "I don't know."

"What?" He asked taking a step closer to her.

It felt wrong, seeing someone like him. She refused to believe her reasoning behind it, but thought it may be because he wasn't Bucky. What if he had given into her, and then went to her room, where would she be, possibly pregnant with somebody's child that she doesn't care about. "I'm sorry, I was drunk and I am just missing someone," she muttered, still refusing to look at the man.

"You're with someone?"

At his tone she turned around realizing she screwed up, "No! God no, I would never, I'm just getting over someone, I guess."

"So I'm a rebound?"

Shit. "No!" she exclaimed again unable to sound convincing.

"I never should have stayed to have that drink with you. You're just a doctor who thinks she has all that, and is better than everyone else, you're not. That only makes you a bitch," he stated, storming out of her office causing a scene others were sure to notice.

"Fuck," Emilia groaned slamming her forehead into her desk. Was it wrong that her thoughts wandered to Bucky, even after being so rude to such a nice man.

"What the hell was that Em?" Madi burst into Emilia's office shutting the door behind her. "You need to stop leading guys on, and then shutting them down," Madi groaned realizing what has happened by the way Emilia was slouched against her desk.

"I live in the moment, what can I say? And I was drunk."

"You need to stop getting drunk," Madi sighed leaving Emilia alone to write her report she should have done the night before.

Emilia took the whole day to write the report, avoiding her co-workers, and the inevitable walk of shame from her office to the front doors of the building. She was ashamed of what people might have thought of her and how she acted. She regretted going after Rick, he was a nice guy that she could have treated better, could have even dated if she hadn't screwed up so hard. Someone knocked on her door. She blinked slowly, raising her gaze from the report she had finished writing an hour ago, "Yeah?"

Director Riz took a step in clearing his throat trying to get Emilia's attention. She rolled her eyes at his awkward state and turned around in her chair gazing at him. "There is a man here to see you, are you available?"
