Kota POV

"You are correct Mr. Lee." The physic's professor, as always, carried a tone of surprise in his voice whenever I answered correctly. I enjoyed Trinification, because the Neutrino masses had yet to be proven yet. It meant that anything could be a correct answer or taken upon consideration- that all possibilities were open.

I could only hope to wish that problems involving my family could come into line like the numbers did. The professor continued onward to the closing of his lecture, oblivious that no one was truly paying attention to his latest thoughts on oscillation, and I thought about Gabriel, Mr. B, and Sang.

I was still mad at Gabe for almost telling Sang the plan at diner the other night, and I was simultaneously mad at myself for not stopping him and not being the one who would tell her.

Mr. B's words had been churning in my mind as well, breaking into other thoughts like unwelcome diner guests.

Sang was always an enigma to me, but I never could see her as a puzzle to solve or a riddle to crack. I loved her mystery.

She reminded me of physics or science, in a way, because no matter how much I could learn about her, there was always something bigger and more elusive just beyond my reach. The more I learned, the more I loved.

I loved her.

The thoughts about my girl continued as I absentmindly packed up. The four o'clock mark was approaching rapidly and I wanted to by home before Jessica came home from the tutoring kids in a program that the Academy offered to lower income schools.

She was a math enthusiast as well, and, when she got a bit older, I knew I'd be driving her to the same lectures I enjoyed. Maybe I could take her as an early birthday present...

Sensing at last that the attention of his students had varied off from his ambitious ideas , Professor Hilbert released us after a moody statement about reading ahead for the next class.

I was just lowering my laptop into the bag when pair of tan legs and heels stepped into veiw.

"Lesilie." I greeted the feet as I rose, knowing that her eyes were on my arms as I pulled the messenger bag onto my shoulder.

"Lee." She murmurred, trying to appear shy.

Lesilie Diamond was the only reason why I hesitated in coming to class.

A twenty two year old wonder kid from Virginia, she held the belief that by getting in my good graces I could somehow boost her grades, most likely by doing homework for her.

I didn't take this class for an official grade, but the administrator in this department was Academy and pulled a few strings to let me in.

"We need more young people in math." He had said to me when I made a formal request, then followed to refuse any favors I could give to pay for the class. He was apart of Dr. Roberts team and I imagine that Dr. Green had something to do with it as well, but I would never ask.

"Come on Dakota," she pouted in a way that would be appealing to anyone who had never met Sang and it appeared like a cheap imitation on Lesilie.

"Tutor me." She demanded like a toddler asking for candy.

I couldn't help feeling like I was doing something horribly wrong by allowing her to talk to me like this. Sang was my ten, anything else just felt wrong.

"Professor Hilbert is at the library everyday after class," I stated, making sure to make eye contact. "I'm sure he would be glad to help you."

A telltale beep told me that I had a text from Mr. B and I thanked my lucky stars for the interruption.
