Chapter 8

Liberty's Pov:

I ran laps in a field behind the school, my head still hurt from being punched by Minnie but I shrugged it off. All my friends were playing some call of duty in our dorm room but I left to clear my head and to get some fresh air. I sigh and keep running when I heard someone call my name, it was Mr.Horus

"What are you doing out here, Chase?"

He asked me calling me by my last name. I shrug and he sighs

"Well I came out here to set up for training tonight, and since your here I'll tell you what we're going to do"

he then walks towards a forest that lay near the field, I walk slowly behind him

"Well Chase, we're going to split into pairs and I'm going to put 5 bags of treasure out in this forest first 5 teams to find them doesn't have to run laps"

I nod "how many laps would we have to run?" I ask him.

He smiles

"50"

my jaw drops, he was going to make us run 50 laps?! He then looks at his watch

"Well Chase it's been nice talking to you but lunch is going to start in a minute and you wouldn't want to be late"

I smile and nod as I began to jog off he yells back to me

"Make sure your ready for tonight!"

I smile over my shoulder and run towards the school.

~Time Skip~

I was walking towards the dining hall when I caught sight of Erin and Serena walking towards me I stop walking and wait for them

"So from the condition Minnie was in when her friends carried her in, I'm guessing you won?"

I smile and nod to Serena

"Barely,"

I answer Erin nods and tells me that Zero was looking for me, I nod and begin running when I turned a corner and someone ran into me making me fall

"I'm so sorry!"

A deep smooth voice said to me and I looked up to see a hand reaching for me

"It's alright, it was my fault"

I said while grabbing the boys hand and he helped me stand

"My names Travis Wayland, what's yours?"

"Liberty Chase" I replied

"Well Liberty would you like to get lunch with me?" He smiled at me.

"Well you can sit with me and my friends if you'd like?" He smiled again and nodded.

He then started walking to the dining hall I studied him as we walked, he had short black hair, green eyes, and of course wore all black, he was also very tall. Once in the dining hall I spotted my friends sitting near the end of the Zeus table, Asher saw me come in and waved me over

"Come on Travis"

I say to him before jogging over to my friends

"Hey guys, this Is Travis, Travis this is Zero, Brad, and Asher" I say gesturing to my friends

"nice to meet you all"

he says in his smooth voice I smile as all my friends welcome him and I sat in between Zero and Asher as Brad and Travis talked about something.
