His casket was closed. I would never see his beautiful face again. We were late, so when we walked over they started lowering his casket into the ground. His casket was made of cherry wood and had a very interesting type of molding on it.

No sooner did I walk over to see him lowered into the ground than I walked back over to Jessica's car to leave. I told her I didn't want to be here and I wasn't lying. She came in the car five minutes later and turned the ignition and pulled away. No words to me. Nothing. I guess I deserve that.

She drove me home, dropped me off and left without so much as a goodbye. This is fantastic. Not only is the guy I love dead but I'm pushing my best friend away. My parents stopped coming up to say hello or goodnight to me. They knew I wouldn't respond so why try, right?
