I stood looking at this short, shrewd woman from the Capitol. It was reaping day. My last reaping day as I am 17. (My birthday is during this Games and Reaping will be slightly later next year)

"Tori Windsong" The woman called.

I recognized the name. It was my sister Tara's friend. Tori was on 12 or 13.

Both Tara and Tori cried. I also let out a tear. Tori only had her mother and Tara. She didn't have many people who cared for her.

I turn to the woman again. This is all I have to survive.

"Taurean Plasma" My name was called.

Tara cried again. This time so did my mother. My father left us when he was young.

I give her a hug. "I'll keep Tori safe"

I cry into Tara's shoulders and take Tori's hand as we walk onto the stage.

"District 3's victors. Tori Windsong and Taurean Plasma!" The woman called.

We were then ushered away.

The train rattled as we approached the capitol. My mother once told me about the capitol. Its were my father fled too after he left us.

"These are your quarters Taurean" the woman smiles. I think her name was Paige.

"Please, call me Ian" I smirk.

"Ian" Paige grins before showing Tori to he quarters.

I lie back on the bed. We weren't told much about these "Zodiac Games" all we knew was it was a punishment. A punishment for starting the war.

I also knew that there could only be one winner.

That means Tori would have to die, if I were to win. I do plan on sacrificing myself to save her. Why should I go on when she will leave a distraught mother? Who knows we could die first.
