Training(Aqua)

It was huge.

I smiled as i saw the array of different weapons.I ran my fingers along each and finally picked up a bow and arrow.I smiled,easy.

I stood in position as the targets in front of me shifted from their positions to confuse the archer but this was not hard for me.

I took my aim and concentrated.I didn't let the arrow go as the target came in view,i let it go before it came into view and as I looked up it had struck a perfect bulls eye.I smiled to myself.

"Who wants to challenge me?"I looked across to see the district 2 boy holding his knives and scanning the area for an opponent.

I walked up to him confidently."I will."I said and went closer to him.

"Very well then."he smirked,Adrian was his name I think.

I got in stance and so did he.As he struck,I dodged him.He tried again and I dodged him again.Then I had an idea.I pretended to weaken and give up.As he smiled and brought it,I quickly placed one knife behind his neck and one pointed to his face in one smooth movement."I win."

He glared but didn't say anything.triumphant I got down and headed to get a drink.

"You're good Aqua."I looked at Austin smiling at me.

"Practise makes perfect."I smiled back.

"Indeed it does,"he said as he drank wine water too."so how do_"

He was cut short by the boy from district 2."how would you like to join the careers?"he asked us.

"Now why would you want me on your team?"I asked smirking.

"Seeing your strength,you'd be of use to us."

I snickered."of use to you. ha! So that's all I'll be,something you'll use and then you can toss me away like a piece of garbage with a knife dug in her heart.No thanks."

The careers looked amongst each other astounded.

"I'm offering you a chance for survival."Adrian said.

"And I already have a chance of survival,so no thanks."

"You'll have all the essentials."Leo cut in the boy from district 1.

"I'll get my essentials when I need them."I told him.

"We'll offer you protection."Leah spoke up.

"I can protect myself Thankyou very much."

Aria was about to say something but Adrian shut her when he saw Austin motioning them to be quiet.

"Aqua..."he pulled me aside."join them,they have a point,if you want to win,they're our best chance.dont you want to bring glory to our district? To your parents?"

I thought for a moment."you're right."

I went to them and confirmed my alliance.They smiled and headed off.

"And you know the best part?"Austin asked whispering.

"What?"I asked.

"They won't even know what hit them."he grinned.

I nodded,they'd be dead before they could try to get rid of us.

I started to head out to see the other tributes.All were busy training with weapons but one biy,my gaze fell upon was making fire.He had the number 3 written on him.confused,I watched him,wondering why he was spending all his time creating fire?

Then I remembered district 3 was associated with technology,if I was right,that boy was not just making fire,he must be upto something else.I walked towards him,wanting to know what he was doing but then Adrian called and I turned back before giving a last glance.
