"Christian, dinner smells amazing!" Rori laughed as she placed her keys on the hook. "What's the occasion?"
"Does there have to be a reason for me to cook for my lovely lady." I grinned at her.
"You're lucky I love your cooking." She laughed, leaning over for a kiss.
"How was the day out with Jess and Felicity?"
"Tiring. I'm looking forward to just relaxing tonight. What you are making?"
"Do you want some coffee or tea?" I asked.
"Yeah I'll have some herbal tea. Something light before dinner." She replied, turning on the kettle. "I don't know how your sister can shop for hours."
"Don't look at me, I'm still confused myself."
"How was therapy?" I asked her almost everyday just to make sure she was going and that she was talking.
"It was okay."
"What happened?" I was a little concerned.
"Well not every time is it going to be all smiles and laughs." She snapped.
"Yeah you're right I'm sorry. Listen, lets not talk about it and lets just enjoy this night. You're tired so relax, I've got all this."
"I'm sorry. I've been doing so well lately, but we touched on a topic that I don't really like to talk about so I guess that put me in a mood. Just give me the tea and I'll shut up." She apologised.
"Hey you never have to apologise to me okay? So long as you're making progress that's all that matters to me." I told her truthfully.
"Okay. I went to the doctor's as well."
"How did that go?"
"Quite well actually." She smiled.
"That's good. So I'm done now, why don't we take our plates to the roof and eat out there tonight. It's a clear sky as well."
"Great idea. I want to see the stars." She grinned at me. I added the pasta to our plates and covered it with foil before putting it in our basket along with two glasses and a bottle of wine and of course dessert, her favourite chocolate cake. Rori grabbed two thick blankets and flicked the lights of after me.
When we got to the roof she took a deep breath of the air before settling in our usual place. We were out here so often we even kept two chairs and a outdoor table. No one seemed to use the roof terrace as much as well did so we made it our own little space, complete with plants and string lights. Rori had made it her pet project to decorate it and make it as cozy as possible. I popped the bottle of wine and poured her a glass before wrapping a blanket around my own shoulder.
"Bon appetite!" We clinked glasses before digging in.
"This ravioli is amazing. I shouldn't really be surprised but I love it." She grinned.
"I'm a chef for a reason honey." I winked.
"A good one that's for sure." She continued to dig and while we talked about our day.
"The sky is look particularly beautiful tonight don't you think?" She asked, staring into the dark skies littered with sparkling stars, the moon's bright light reflecting on to her face.
"Not as beautiful as you." I said.
"Oh stop it you cheeseball." She laughed. "Look at the one! Do you think that is Olivia?"
"It's the brightest star in the sky so I do believe it is Olivia. I know that she is looking down at you think how proud she is of how far in just three months you have come."
"I really do want to get better Christian. I'm trying, really trying."
"I know you are princess and that's all we ask."
"I never told you how grateful I am to have you in my life. I've tried all sorts of ways to kick you out of my thoughts and my life but you're like a bad odour I can't seem to get ride of."
"Are you comparing me to a fart?" I cried, feeling only a little offended.
"I am. But I love that you don't smell like a fart." She giggled.
"Do you want some cake? If you keep insulting me I'll just eat it all." I teased.
"Give me the cake!" She cried, reaching over to grab a slice.
"Calm down woman, I will give you the cake!" I laughed, cutting a massive slice for her.
"Mmm, this what I dream about at night." she said, her eyes closed.
"Are you sure it's not my hot body?" I winked at her.
"You mean you flabby tummy." She giggled.
"That's it. That cake it mine." I made a move on her cake.
"Okay, okay I'm sorry. Your body is very hot. Have you been working out again?"
"Yeah I have actually, I'm very glad you noticed." I leaned over to kiss her lips, licking some of the frosting from sides. She blushed before stuffing her face again with cake.
"You're such a pig."
"Only when it comes to cake." By the time we finished we both felt like we could burst, we had eaten that much.
"Aurora," I called to get her attention. "I have waited 8 years for this moment. To be sitting beside you, to love you completely and for you to do the same. I lost you once before and I don't want to lose you again." I dropped to one knee in front of her. "Will you give me the honour to love you forever, for better or for worse?" I opened the ring box to reveal a simple diamond ring that would forever be outshone by her light.
"Oh Christian!" Tears started streaming down her face. She bent down and hugged me.
"Is that a yes?" I asked.
"Yes! Yes I will marry you." She cried. I laughed and cried at the same time as I placed the ring on her finger. She wiped her face of the tears before she cleared her throat. My heart was pounding with excitement and I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.
"Christian I have something to tell you. But you have to promise not to have a heart attack."
"I promise princess."
"I'm pregnant." She smiled and then I really felt my heart stop.

This is it guys! I have finally finished the story. All that is left is the epilogue and I'm going to need some help trying to write it. I still have no idea how I want their love story to end. Let me know in the comments below and I'll try and incorporate it in the last ever chapter of Rori and Christian's story.
Thank you all for the support
Love Neha
