"Since I'm already at your place, why don't you cook something for me?" Rori asked as we cuddled on the couch.
"Hmm," I groaned, just about falling asleep. My head was buried in her hair, with her blissfully unaware of my creepiness as I inhaled the sweet coconut smell of her shampoo. My response to her question was to tighten my arms around her waist, painfully aware of how close her butt was to my crotch.
She turned around so that she could look at me. I wrapped my leg around her waist and pulled her closer to me so that only our boxers separated us. The way she gasped as I rubbed against her, it was like music to my ears. "Let's do it right this time." I whispered, brushing my lips against the curve of her ear, as my hand slipped into her boxers.
"Christian..." Her husky voice made my little man twitch against the coarse fabric. Her back arched away from the couch, her breast being pushed further against my bare chest. Before she could finish I retrieved my hand, smirking when she groaned. I slid off the couch before scooping her into my arms, carrying her bridal style to my bedroom. I laid her carefully on the neatly made bed. Normally I wouldn't take the time to make it, but I'm now glad I did. I climbed on the bed, lying down beside her.
I gathered her in my arms, kissing her lips. Slowly, sensually, dragging out the pleasure. I massaged her tongue, savouring the taste of the remnants of coffee, mixed with her strawberry Chapstick. My touch was light against her soft skin, just grazing up and down her body. Her head fitted in the cup of my hands, leaving my thumbs resting her cheeks while my fingers threaded themselves in her hair. When we broke for air I kissed her under her ear, starting from the top of her jaw and then continuing to pepper her with featherlight kisses down to her throat.
I kissed the exposed part of her chest, moving my shirt so her right collarbone was shown. I hadn't noticed the big fading scar that cut across the bone before but I didn't question it, instead I ran my finger along it and kissed it. Popping the button of shirt open I placed a kiss in its place, continuing till I had opened all the buttons. She sat up, breathless but smiling. I pushed the shirt off her shoulders, frowning when she crossed her arms across her chest.
"Don't." I said, pulling her arms away and placing her hands on my neck. We lay back down, and I immediately captured her lips. My hand traveled south, savouring the way her chest rose faster as I ran my hand down the middle of her body. I slipped my hand back into the boxers, groaning as her nails dug into my skin and her legs spread apart. Our skins rubbed against each other, slowly, painfully. Her body quivered under me and she let out a lungful of air accompanied by my name. I kissed her again, making sure I took her breath away. I laid kissed down her to her hip bones, before dragging the boxers down her legs allowing her to flick it away. My underwear joined her shortly after and soon our bodies were completely touching.
We made love in the slowest, most fulfilling way possible. Making sure we explored each other's bodies till each mole was identified, each scar was loved. There wasn't a spot on her body I didn't know or loved more than I did at that moment.
"I love you." She murmured, as her eyes fluttered shut. I pulled the sheets over her body, before lying back down on my arm admiring the way her long lashes rested on her pink tinged skin, and the curve of her nose to the slight crinkle between her brows. The way her lips were slightly open, and her nose flared when she breathed. I traced the tattoo behind her ear, partially hidden in her hairline. I noticed before but I was too scared to ask her what it meant.
It was either a waxing or waning moon with seven tiny little stars orbiting it. I kissed her lips once more before falling asleep myself. When I woke up I stretched up my arm only to find the space beside me was empty. Frowning I jumped out of bed, pulling my boxers on and a pair of sweatpants. As I was grabbing my phone off the floor I heard her voice.
"Hungry?" She asked, a couple of menus in her hand and my landline in the other.
"Yeah, but we're not ordering." I took the menus from her.
"Then why do you have menu cards?" She asked.
"They come in the mail, I forget to throw them out." I walked over to the trash can and threw them in.
"Unlucky for you, I already ordered. Don't worry I know you'll like it Mr Chef." She smirked.
She joined me on the couch, sitting between my legs with her back resting against my chest. I swept her hair to one side, revealing the tattoo. "What does it mean?" I asked, rubbing my thumb over it.
"The moon is supposed to signify a new phase is always around the corner, I have to stick it out in the dark before the light finally comes."
"And the stars?"
"They represent the people I love circling my life." She sighed, her eyes glazing over as she got lost in her thoughts. I kissed her shoulder. She leaned forward and reached for the television remote, switching the screen on. After spending a few moments flicking through the channels we eventually settled on an old movie that was playing. I could tell she wasn't really watching, but the tv was supposed to fill the silence.
The doorbell rang, interrupting an intense scene. "Can you get it, I'm not exactly dressed."Rori asked. I nodded, grabbing my wallet on the way.
"Thank you." I tipped the delivery guy before shutting the door after him. "So what did you order?"
"All my favourites. I don't know what you like, but trust me you'll like them,"
I placed the bag on the coffee table in front of us, taking out the various boxes and placing them along the edge.
"Okay so first we have orange chicken, I know the food colouring probably looks quite off putting, but I promise you it's good. Then we have egg rolls and sweet buns. Of course I ordered my favourite chow mein as well as kung pao chicken. They gave us fortune cookies too!" She handed me a box with noodles and chopsticks before switching on the to and selecting a movie on Netflix. We snuggled together with the blanket over our legs. I couldn't remember the last time I just relaxed since my career had taken off. For once however, I felt truly relaxed and even enjoyed myself as we lay on the couch doing absolutely nothing.
My only sadness was the secret guarded expression Rori still wore on her face every time she looked away from me. I wouldn't say I was an impatient man, but I have waited too long to find out her story. After spending the whole weekend in the apartment with her, I decided to find out for myself.
