[Beginning Notes:] Thank you all so much for 23 reads! Also, special shoutout to @lizzzabeth for your votes :)

I spent a lot of the afternoon typing up the next few chapters. They're done and beta'd, but I don't want to post them all at once. I'm a weird writer: I write when I feel like it. So while having a set date for updating is nice, I don't think I can keep up with it.

Although, my last day of school is tomorrow! That leaves the entire rest of April and then the summer months for LOADS of updates :)

And speaking of the summer... I might have a little surprise planned ;)

The day finally arrived.
September 2nd. It was marked on Levy's calendar as "Lucy's birthday outing!" but honestly, the blunette wasn't all that thrilled. She was nervous. Her cautious senses were tingling non-stop.

The day began the way it should've: with school. As Levy walked by herself, like she always did, she felt herself cheer up at the mere thought of returning to Magnolia High. It was like a labyrinth for her.

Upon arriving at the front of the massive, flashy building, she was greeted by a grinning Lucy.

"Hey, girl! How's your day been so far?" she asked, brimming with excitement. Levy had to smile. She knew that Lucy was trying not to bombard her with the reminder of that night.

"Great. What about you? Ready for your outing tonight?" she asked, trying to sound half as elated as Lucy was.

It didn't work.

But thankfully, Lucy fell for it. "I'm so ready! It seems like I've had to wait years for this day! It didn't help when Natsu showed up at my house last month at eleven o'clock and ready to go. It was like a sore reminder!"

Levy couldn't help but laugh as they arrived at their lockers and placed their backpacks inside. "Sorry about that, Lu. You've just got to make better friends!" she teased, wondering how her best friend could even put up with a dense idiot such as Natsu.

She remembered the late text she got from the blonde. It was October 2nd, and Lucy was fuming about how Natsu woke her up by knocking super loud on her door and yelling, "Tonight's the night, Luce!" It was especially ridiculous, considering they saw Natsu in the morning, and he mentioned nothing about thinking that the outing was that night.

"Ugh, tell me about it," Lucy teased back, winking. The two girls eventually arrived at their first period - homeroom - where the blonde finished undone work. Levy watched her with fascinated eyes, wondering how it was physically possible for someone to procrastinate so much. If she didn't frown upon last-minute-work, she would commend the stress-level containment that procrastinators had.

In second period, the two met up with the rest of the gang. When lunch finally arrived, they discovered that Loke was there, which was a shock, considering he attended Celestial High, a school down in Clover. He said that he stopped by to wish Lucy a happy belated birthday, threw in a few (solid) pick-up lines, and left. The surprise visit brightened up the day for the other six.

In Chemistry, Levy's least favorite class, Yukino passed the blunette a note.

Are you nervous about tonight? I know you're not the adventurous type, it read.

Levy glanced up at the lecturing teacher briefly before deciding that a quick response was okay. She grabbed her HB 2 pencil and scribbled back in neat handwriting, A little bit. It's not the adventure that I'm not fond of; it's the risk. Getting into trouble with any type of force wouldn't be good for my reputation.
