Four days later, Levy found herself standing in front of Phantom juvenile prison.
She had to be honest with herself: she never thought she'd actually return here after her experience the week before. But after her conversation with Lucy, the blunette found herself more and more enthralled with the need to assist the inhabitants.
Beside her was Yukino. The white-haired girl decided that she too wanted to come back and visit as well; although, it was for different reasons. Levy wanted to redeem herself, in a way, while Yukino simply wanted to visit someone she had met on her last trip.
Lucy and the others were busy with schoolwork, so Levy figured she shouldn't push the matter of their presence.
After a few seconds of comfortable silence, Yukino turned to the blunette with a smile. "Are you ready?" she asked, aware of Levy's apprehension.
Said girl managed a smile back. "Yeah. Let's go."
The older of the two led the way onto the paved sidewalks, throughout the courtyards, and finally to the same front doors of cell building 5. The security guards standing outside acknowledged their presence and recognized them from the week previously. Yukino explained that they had permission from Mirajane Strauss, and after the first guard spoke into his radio and received a muffled voice on the other end, the two girls entered.
The two men inside the room gave them a curt nod before returning to their duty. Yukino glanced back at Levy and smiled assuredly before taking steps forward. The blunette followed behind, although not as closely. Strangely enough, the building was already starting to become a normal sight.
As the two girls passed by cells A, B, J, and I, Levy glanced cautiously over to the one belonging to the man who had unnerved her last trip. Fortunately, he was laying on his side in the shadow, seeming to be asleep.
Yukino stopped at cell H, and the blunette had to peel her eyes away from the strange man before realizing it. Expectantly, she glanced inside the cell to see the same teenaged boy the white-haired girl had spoken to on their last visit. His hair was a vibrant blonde, and his eyes electric blue. His expression was bored, but at the sight of Yukino, it brightened up. (A/N: I don't really ship Yukino with either Sting or Rogue, but I do love the concept of their friendship. That's simply what this is.)
"Hello, Sting," she greeted warmly, waving slightly. The boy simply averted his eyes from hers to Levy's and then back. He didn't seem to be menacing, but rather just... melancholy. "How are you today?"
"As good as I can be in this cage," he responded gruffly, although there was a slight airiness to his voice.
Yukino gazed at him with understanding eyes before remembering Levy's presence. "Oh! This is my friend, Levy. She came here last time, as well."
Sting curtly nodded to the blunette, lazily leaning back against the brick wall. "Nice to meet you."
"Levy was the one who wanted to come back here after Tuesday," the white-haired senior said, smiling proudly.
The blonde nodded again. His expression didn't change for a few awkward seconds - Levy didn't expect the conversation to be cheery, though - before his eyes shifted to the left ever-so-slightly. They stayed there for a few more seconds before meeting Levy's.
