Levy Mcgarden wasn't someone to take a hit and leave the scene.

She was a persistent, stubborn, willful girl with a fiery spirit.

So when Gajeel Redfox started making false assumptions about her, especially when all he had done was observe from a distance on the situation, she just... blew up.

"Gosh, I know it was overboard, Lucy," the blunette whined, burying her face in her hands. Now, because of her hot-headedness, she was too ashamed to even show her face in Phantom again.

"I mean, it wasn't... that overboard. Just a little. Like, you 'jumped off the ship but didn't quite hit the water' overboard."

Levy lifted her head up and glared halfheartedly at her blonde friend. "Thanks, Lu."

"No, I'm serious!" Lucy shook her hands insistently. "I'm trying to make you feel better."

Levy rested her head on her knees and sighed. "It's a lost cause. When did life get so complicated?" she asked herself exasperatedly.

"Probably when you hit puberty."

"Lucy!"

"Okay, okay! I'm serious, though. Shaving my legs every week is exhausting."

A few silent moments passed where the only noise was Lucy's hands turning the pages of her book. The blonde had arrived from her trip to Lithuania a few days prior, so they decided to stay late at school and catch up on their studies. The two girls were currently in Magnolia High's pristine library studying for an upcoming Chemistry test. Science had never been Levy's thing, but Lucy had a knack that was unmatchable.

Long story short, with both the unintrest in the subject and embarrassment from the last Phantom visit weighing heavily on the blunette's shoulders, studying did not get done on Tuesday.

Wednesday rolled around with a cold front. Levy couldn't decide if she was glad for no more rain or frustrated that she would now have to start wearing her itchy sweaters. It was October, though, so the chilliness was inevitable.

As the blunette tied a cream-colored ribbon around her head, she hummed softly to herself. Today is going to be a good day, she recited mentally. No thinking about Phantom, no thinking about that stupid Chemistry test, and especially no thinking about Gajeel.

As the day went on and classes ended, Levy was thankfully able to succeed in keeping her mind off the desired subjects.

At least... two of them.

Gajeel... the girl thought in exhaustion as Chemistry drawled on. Why won't you get out of my head?

After contemplating the action for a mere second, the blunette gripped the sides of her desk and began banging her head in an attempt to rid her thoughts of the raven-haired boy.

"And as I said before, Alchemy is used more modernly-... Miss Mcgarden?"

Levy glanced up with annoyed eyes and lazily responded, "Yes, Sensei?"
