Pauleen finally flew to join their Bacolod office, leaving Maine with an empty cubicle. She sat at her side of the cubicle just staring at Pauleen's side for while. It had been 4 days since Pauleen was transferred to the Bacolod office. Gone were their pictures and Pauleen's mess. Then, she saw something sticking out from one of the drawers. She stood up to take a look.

She stared at the note for a bit, not knowing that tears started flowing down her face. She took the note and took a picture of it. Then, she pinned the note on her wall. She tried to distract her thoughts about being "alone" with work.
She went home after work, had dinner, took a shower then just tried to distract herself more by scrolling through some work she brought home. Tonight, she decided to sit at their lanai, earbuds in her ears and her dog, Buddy, a west highland terrier, lay by her feet.
She was busy with her laptop that she didn't mind Buddy getting up and moving away from her. In her mind, the dog just decided to find a different spot. She then sensed movement on her side so she looked at the direction of the shadows which she saw from the corner of her eye. She saw Rj playing with Buddy. As soon as he saw her looking at them, he stood up and got the drinks he had put down on a table nearby and set them down in front of her. He then gave her a buzz on the cheek.
"Hi! Take a break anay...I saw your facebook post....miss mo si Pau?"
"Hmm..." she said as she took a sip of the drink "Thank you..."
"Don't be sad na...I have a surprise for you..."
Her sadness turned into curiosity.
"What?" she said as he pulled out a small envelope from his pocket which he laid on her laptop's keyboard.
"Nano ni?" (what's this?) She said looking at the envelope.
"Open it..."
She put down her drink and wiped her hands on the small towel she had on her lap. She slowly opened the envelope.

Her jaw dropped as soon as she saw the tickets. She lunged at him and gave him a big hug. This took him by surprise but he still managed to hug her back.
