Carson's POV
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Well, my awesome team won. I hit Dalton out and surprisingly Brittany hit Gage right in the balls with the ball. It was hilarious! He went down faster than a sinking rock!
I'm in the hallway now walking with Oliver. We just finished art so he's walking with me cause we have to talk. I didn't see the others so I just walked with Oliver.
"So, why do you want to be my friend. Not that I have a problem with that but nobody has ever talked to me unless they need something. Did you find out how rich I am? If that's why then I-" I cut him off by slapping a hand over his mouth and pushing him up against the wall outside of the school.
"You talk too much. I didn't know you were rich. I didn't know anything about you till gym and that was only your first name. I don't care that your rich, Oliver. I just want to be your friend. Now come on. You do know where I live, right?" I asked him.
"Yeah. Who doesn't? Haynes, Gage, Asher, Faylon, Zaylyn, Bree and the twins are popular everyone knows where you live." He said making me laugh.
"Good cause I don't. If I didn't walk with you I would just have to walk up to anyone and ask them to bring me home." I said smiling and wrapped an arm around his waist and felt him tense a bit. "Relax I won't hurt you, Oliver." I said and he smiled. I'm hungry.
"Want to go get something to eat? Then we can go to my house." Oliver said to me.
"Are you a mind reader? I was just thinking I was hungry." I said as we turned and crossed the street.
We arrived at this diner place and sat at a booth. The waiter came over to us. He was cute. "Hello, I'm Ray. What can I get you?" He asked smiling at us.
"Hi, can I please have a burger but no cheese, a medium fries, a sprite, and a slice of cheesecake?" I said looking through the menu.
"Sure. For you sir?" He asked looking at Oliver.
"May I please have a cheese burger, medium fries, a coke and a slice of chocolate cake to go?" Oliver asked then smiled slightly at the guy taking our order.
"Sure. I'll be back with your orders in about 15 minutes." He said then walked away.
"He seems nice. He has respect too. He didn't even try to flirt. Nice guy." I said playing with the salt on a napkin.
"Yeah he's nice. So, where did you live before you came here?" Oliver asked looking me in the eyes.
"15 miles away from here. I didn't want to come here but I had no choice." I said shrugging looking at him.
"If you don't mind me asking but why did you move here?"He asked and my eyes started to sting.
"My parents and older brothers burned our house down, packed their sh!† and left. They never liked me. I was always lonely unless I was at work. I did anything just to avoid going home. I got a job, did karate, did boxing, got tattoos and piercings. I never knew why they didn't like me but whatever, not everyone in life would like you. Some are jealous of you that's why they don't like you. Some just can't stand you and hate you without knowing you personally. I think thats what my family did." I explained Oliver playing with the salt then looked in his eyes.
"Wow. I thought I had it bad. Carson, not everyone will hate you not everyone will like you but some people will see the good in you. If they didn't know what a nice person you are then they suck." I smiled sadly.
"Thanks. Everyone tells me stuff like that. Sometimes I thinks it's just to shut me up." I said chuckling. "Enough about me. Tell me about yourself. I want to get to know the Oliver under the glasses and suspenders." I said smiling and putting my elbows on the table and holding my head up with my hands.
