A/N: Natalie Dormer as Joe's awesome sister Angie. She's so cute X)

Nerves wracked Joe's insides once he reached the bottom of the staircase in his home. He could hear his mom and dad chatting in the living room and the added pressure of both his parents being present when he asked to do something completely unlike him was discouraging. He strolled into the room, causing the adults to halt their conversation.

"Hey honey." His mom smiled, patting the empty space beside her on the couch. Joe didn't sit down however, he shifted his weight from foot to foot as he prepared his speech.
"So I was thinking," Joe began, "I don't really have many useful life skills, so I wanted to work on that." Joe's mom's eyebrows rose in interest, and his father nodded in encouragement. "I want to learn mechanics." He exhaled.

"You want to learn mechanics?" His dad chuckled, Joe ignored the mild ridicule and nodded. "And how do you propose going about that?"
"Well I thought maybe I could get a part time job at the mechanics you go to." Joe suggested, and a wide smile spread over Richard's face.

"Well how about that, Ruby!" Richard nudged his wife, whose expression was a little unconvinced. "You know how much money that'd save us on repairs?"
"Mhm you're right. But why the sudden interest, sweetie?"
Joe hadn't been expecting the question, and he floundered for a good few seconds before answering.
"Uh, it looked interesting when I went with dad yesterday." He replied lamely. His mother didn't appear to believe him, but she said nothing, meanwhile Richard was ecstatic.

"This is fantastic son, I'll call them up and see what Carlos thinks!" He clapped his hands together and got up, presumably to call whoever Carlos was. "Hey, maybe Manny could teach you!" At that, Joe's heart missed a beat, it was exactly what he wanted.
Richard hurried out of the room humming excitedly, leaving Joe at the mercy of his Ruby who knew him much better than her husband.

"Is there something I'm missing here, Joe?" She asked, arms folded.
"No mom." Joe smiled as sweetly as he could manage.
"Hmm. Is there a cute girl there or something?" She theorised. Joe nearly laughed out loud, but he held it in for the sake of his privacy.
"The receptionist is at least fifty mom." He snorted.

"I don't know what boys these days are into." Ruby shrugged, grinning when Joe recoiled in disgust.
"That's gross, seriously." He sighed, then made a move to escape, but his mom spoke again.
"Joe, I've known you all seventeen years of your life so you can bet your life I know when you're hiding something." She informed him, unease crawled up Joe's spine but he ignored her comment and left the room.

He ran back up the stairs and knocked on Angie's bedroom door. Music blared through the wood and no answer came.
"Angie!" Joe yelled, banging harder on the door. Seconds later, the door was thrown open and Angie stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips and a pink facemask smothered all over her face,.

"What?" She snapped, but when she saw the look on Joe's face she rolled her eyes and let him in. "What crawled up your ass, twinky?"
"Call me that again I'll cut the bristles off of all your makeup brushes."
"Oo, how passive aggressive of you." Angie smirked and flopped down in her computer chair. "Seriously though, what's up?" She asked.

"Dad said he'd call the mechanics, but I don't think mom bought it." He explained, and Angie began laughing.
"Of course she didn't buy it, when we were kids you preferred playing with my Barbies than with the Hot Wheels cars dad bought you."
Joe groaned loudly and punched Angie's pillows.

"Do you think she knows?"
"I don't think she knows but I think she's pretty damned close to guessing." Angie replied honestly, her expression serious. Joe nodded and resorted to staring out the window.
"Why can't being gay be normal?"
"If you're going to get emotional leave my room, Joe."

Joe scowled at his sister but left all the same. He flopped down on his own bed and exhaled loudly, a medley of emotions swirling around inside his head. He was excited to see Manny again but incredibly nervous about the fact he knew absolutely nothing about mechanics. He hated being embarrassed in front of people he wanted to impress.

An idea struck him, and he jumped up from the bed and into his computer chair. He typed a few words in the search engine and soon he was scrolling through page upon page of information about basic mechanics. It wasn't necessarily what he was interested in, but there was odd pieces of info he was sure he'd find useful one way or another. He just didn't want to go in there completely clueless.

Before Joe knew it, his mom was calling up for him to come down for dinner, he glanced at clock on the tool bar and it turned out he'd spent over two hours surfing mechanic forums. He stretched out, cracking his limbs and got up, trudging downstairs. The scent of pasta bake filling his nostrils. When he reached the kitchen, his dad had a wide grin plastered across his face.

"Manny said he'd be happy to teach you a few things!" He exclaimed. Joe's stomach did a front flip.
"He did?" He said, not quite believing it. His dad nodded enthusiastically.
"He said to come by tomorrow at around eight when the mechanics isn't so busy so he can go through the basics with you."

One part of that sentence stuck in Joe's head; 'When the mechanics isn't so busy'. Would they be alone? Would there be other employees there? Did Manny also have an ulterior motive? 'Of course not.' Joe thought to himself. Manny seemed like the kind of guy to have girls falling at his feet, why would he be interested in a lanky seventeen year old boy?

He thanked his dad and grabbed his plate, muttering something about doing research and ran it back up to his room and switched to watching YouTube videos to cement his understanding.

At around eight, he decided to do a couple of sit-ups and press-ups, just to make sure he was on top form when he saw Manny tomorrow. He felt like he was gearing up for a date but all he was doing was preparing for a lesson in mechanics from one of the hottest guys he'd ever seen in his entire life. Pretty similar.

He watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds before snuggling deep into his covers. He was too excited to be tired, but he knew he had to try and sleep. He certainly didn't want Manny to see him with bags under his eyes. His mind raced, thinking of all the possibilities tomorrow brought. It wasn't long before the unlikely fantasies began surfacing.

Joe imagined being leant over the bonnet of a car while Manny manoeuvred his hands from behind, the feel of his rough hands on his heavenly. Joe pictured wiggling against Manny's groin a little, testing to see if he'd react and of course, because it was Joe's fantasy, he did. Manny pressed further into Joe's behind and whispered in his ear how good he looked bent over the bumper.

With his imagination running wild with fantasies of allowing Manny to do lewd things to him, Joe felt his body reacting. Unless he wanted it to be a long night, he'd need to stop. He turned over on his mattress, closing his eyes and slipping into a sleep filled to the brim with images of Manny.
