Hank's P.O.V.
There on the hill was a cowboy named Hank Marshall sitting on his quarter horse Buck and sitting beside him was his ranch German Shepard dog name Rex watching the ranchers roundup the cattle for banding and vets examined them, with his blue eyes watching  their every move. His foreman Jim Walker rides over and stops in front of me. Jim is in his late 50's, he can cook, ride, is fit and does not drink.

"Ha Jim",I say. "How's it going ".

"Ha Hank", Jim says. "It's going good".

"The weatherman says there's going to be a snowstorm in the afternoon tomorrow," I say."

"The weatherman is sometimes wrong", Jim says, "and we're almost finished here".

"Yea, they are sometimes wrong", I say, "but in the desert I understand a sandstorm, but a snowstorm".

"Yea, there never was a snowstorm in the desert before", Jim says. There was a long pause. "The new lass(means woman) is pretty good at riding horses and rounding up cattle", Jim says. "Pretty hot too".

"Yea, she is", I say. "But I don't date ranch hands, Jim".

"Why because too much drama after you break up with her", Jim say.

"Yea and that she works for me", I say.

"Oh come on," Jim says. "All the cowboy's want to date her and bed her too."

"Well they can, but if they break up", I say. "They can work it out together or one of them quits".

"Well than how about if your brother starts dating her", Jim says.

"I don't care if Gil starts dating her", I say.

"Well Molly McCray has been watching you ride in the field and walking around the ranch, Hank", Jim says. "So it seems she likes you".

"Molly is a ranch hand and she better stop watching me", I say. "Or their will be talk around the ranch".

"Why", Jim asked while smiling.

"Because the ranch hands will be talking about me and her dating!" I say. "And we are not dating, Jim!"

"Ok Hank", Jim says.

"Good", I say while looking at my watch  to see that it is 11:00 a.m. "Now I'll see you at lunch to talk about which bulls to breed which heifers".

"Ok", Jim says. "I'll see you at lunch."

"See you soon", I says.
"Yea, see you", Jim says smiling while watching Hank ride back to the ranch with Rex running beside them.
